4- Antoine Griezmann:
Intelligence and precision, clearly one of the reasons why the french team achieved this last World Cup played in Russia was the current player of Atletico de Madrid, Griezmann. An excellent control of the ball and a wonderful way to understand the game are the main characteristics that made Antoine Griezmann one of the most dangerous players in this tournament.
He scored four goals in seven matches and was chosen as the MVP in three of those seven matches, including the final match against Croatia.
3- Eden Hazard:
Honestly it´s very difficult nowadays to find a football player that understands the game the way that Eden Hazard does it. This belgian footballer, current player of Chelsea F.C, took the belgian national team game to a next level, being in connection with the rest of the team, Hazard became the main player of his national team. The whole game, either attack or retention of the ball, went through the feet of this incredible footballer. He controlled the belgian game.
Hazard scored 3 goals in seven matches, and was chosen as the MVP in the three matches of the group phase.
2- Kylian Mbappé:
If you think that running fast is difficult, imagine what it is like to run fast with a ball on your feet in a World Cup match, and that was one of the main characteristics of the current player of PSG, Mbappé. His scoring ability combined with his tremendous speed made Mbappé one of the most dangerous strikers of the last World Cup. The rival defenders went crazy trying to catch Mbappé who, with his speed, took the necessary distance, between him and the defenders, to reach the opposite goal and score.
Kylian scored four goals in seven matches and was chosen as the MVP in two of those seven matches. Also FIFA awarded him with the prize for the best young player of the World Cup.
1- Luka Modric:
And we arrived to the first place. This player was the most outstanding footballer of this tournament organized by FIFA. The current player of Real Madrid, Luka Modric, showed everyone how to dispute a World Cup in an excellent way. Perseverance, an amazing technique, understanding the game like no one did it, Modric took Croatia into a new level of football competition, a level that nobody expected for this balkan team. The whole croatian football passed through Modric´s feet, he controlled the ways, he controlled the game, and that´s why he deserved the first place at this top ten list.
He scored two goals in seven matches and was chosen as the MVP in three of those seven matches. FIFA awarded him with the prize of the best player of the World Cup Russia 2018.
