Novak Djokovic vs John Millman

in #sports6 years ago

I'm quite fascinated and at the same time, irritated by this story when Australian John Millman lost in straight sets to Novak Djokovic in the US Open fourth round match.
First, I congratulate John Millman for showing Roger Federer that the GOAT is still a human being with downsides and weakness times. Yet, John must not rest on his laurels and boast to the world that he beat Roger at par. He should know for a fact that if Novak beat him, when he is at his fullest, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4; Roger Federer can top that with an annihilation: 6-0,6-1,6-1, when Roger is at his best. Now he is claiming that he is being bullied because he lost to so many bets that he would have beaten Novak. At first he was a champion to me. Now he is such a "dickhead". This is the main reason why Australians won't see the likes of Pat Rafter ever again. He was the last Aussie gentleman in a tennis court. He was humble and mild-manner. Even if he won just two Grand Slams, he is still worthy to belong to the group of Rod Laver, Pat Cash, John Newcombe and other Aussie tennis greats.
Another thing that irritates me is how the US Open audience treat Novak. He is such a great guy. The Australians have embraced him and learned to love him. Everywhere he goes, he is such a very approachable celebrity. And everyone is making such a big fuss of his shirtless stance and grin.
C'mon people! Are we now a world full of judgemental lot? Simple little things, we comment and make it such a big issue.
