Interesting Sports Headlines + I would think Sports would be a trending topic here on steemit but it's not. Sports is a pretty big part of my life, and for a lot of us here as well I'm sure. So lets get it trending, why not? :) I'll start things off with some headlines I thought were interesting. I Live in Boston so yes their will be more Brady / Patriots Posts coming from me... Yes I'm a fan, Deal With IT! (Although I'm more reasonable then most)
NFL
Brady Resolution Provides Diirection
The New England Patriots enter their 2016 training camp as close as they've been in 19 months to ridding themselves of the cloud that has trailed them since the Deflategate saga began. It means the Patriots will open camp Wednesday knowing the cornerstone of their franchise won't be available for the first quarter of the season. But it will allow them to use the unfavorable outcome to get a meaningful evaluation of Brady understudy Jimmy Garoppolo.

NASCAR
Tony Stewart is a proud born-and-raised Hoosier. He loves the state of Indiana, but no place more so than Indianapolis Motor Speedway, without question his “home track.” On Thursday’s NASCAR America, we looked back at Stewart’s illustrious career as he prepares for his last Sprint Cup race at the Brickyard this Sunday. NASCAR truly is “a better place” because of the man known as “Smoke.”
NBA
At the conclusion of a news conference on Thursday to announce a new partnership between the Junior NBA and the Argentinean Basketball Federation, Manu Ginobili stood up to pose for pictures while holding up a San Antonio Spurs No. 20 jersey that appeared to be intended for one of his 6-year-old twin boys, Dante and Nicola.

MLB
I’ve Never Seen Anyone As Fired Up As This Baseball Player Who Sprinted To The Other Dugout To Start A Fight
Either there was a rare Pokemon or someone dropped the most brutal momma joke Fernando Cruz from the other dugout because he sprinted over there faster than anyone I’ve ever seen. Ball was in play, game was in the 10th, and Cruz looked like a powered up Sonic the Hedgehog getting over to the opposing team’s dugout. Unfortunately for him though, he was so zoned in, laser focused on whoever he wanted to murder in the dugout, he didn’t realize going 1 vs 25 might not have been a wise decision…
NHL
The Most Important Part of a NHL Locker Room
Look inside the locker room of any team in the NHL, and at the heart of the space you’ll find a revered staple of the Room. No, not a Bieber-trampled emblem (although any hockey fan knows the extent to which the logos on the carpet are respected). I’m referring instead to the other cherished staple: the Ping-Pong table.

Yes we need sports for sure I was just thinking that the other day because football season starts soon!
Go Pats! ;) Love football season! Just got my seasons tickets in the mail... one of the best days of the year.
Hell yeah! I'm on the west coast so I am a 49ers fan but the Pats are good every year!
Yes, sports should be a topic and eventually there should be ones for individual sports and teams.
Yes. Anything other than #steem and #steemit is a good idea. I think everyone is too obsessed with the money and crypto side of things. If Steemit is to go mainstream and flourish, we need a wide variety of contributors and readers.
Agreed.
I think this could happen eventually, the platform is so fresh right now, it's beta people! In 6-12 months if Steemit have more success and progress there could be other languages sections too with top paid posters in different languages, imagine that.
would definitely like to see more sports on here. what sports fan wouldn't enjoy talking about their teams and earning STEEM in the process
Agreed
I hope it does start to trend. I'd like to one day come here for all my NBA news and discussions.
Isn't it already a topic??
Trending Topic , not currently.
I tried to be ironic, since its one of the most relevant topics for overall society. My bad.
Haha
I vote yes!
We definitely missed the whole NBA off-season madness with Durant & Wade trades!
@blueorgy can I cover the soccer side plz?
I've started to add Steemit posts to my routine for http://www.HerPitch.com, which is my tiny Women's Soccer site (I'm also in Boston, and cover the Boston Breakers).
I agree it's odd that Sports has such a small footprint here. Good luck!
I will get another post up here soon... been very busy... but great to see this topic trending!
