BUT Challenge 305 - Today starts one of the toughest ultrarun in Europe. ( 305km 15 770 meters +/- selfsupport)

This year question - how many people will succeed ?

BUT 305 Challenge is self supported event. Host do not provide any aid stations/food or help on the course.
The event is organized since 2013 - it's gradually get longer every year (first one was 220km long).
The course is mainly in Poland but significant part of it is on the border with Slovakia and Czech Republic.

Distances per year:
2013 - 220km
2014 - 251km
2015 - 260km
2016 - 260 km
2017 - 305 km

This year profile:

BUT Challenge proves that you can create really difficult competition outside the Alps, not only monsterous distance and elevation are important here. When you attempting the race you will be mainly alone during 3 days and nights. Weather can be unpredictable - it can be more than 15 C first day and at the end of the race there could be snowing !

When you sum this up it's explain why co many experienced runners resign in the middle od track.
