The core issue here is that these parents often try to achieve something they couldn't at "their time", so children have to fulfill a dream of someone else. This proxy dream chasing is already known to sports, but I personally wonder if this is something we will see in esports too down the line. Many tried to be pro, but were simply too early born before the industry had a decent infrastructure and ROI. Will they encourage their kids and foster a professional career?
