Personally, I expected Soccer to be the most followed. You watch the pre-season tours and you see the number of fans out there supporting their various clubs en-mass. I also think it is country-dependent also. In the UK, You see Soccer being the most anticipated sport they look forward to. The US, it is definitely basketball. In India, it should be cricket if i am not mistaken. The likes of boxing, tennis, MMA are slowly becoming a general sort of sport that gives a massive buzz in people's minds. Might be because of Roger Federer or Serena Williams, Floyd Mayweather or Anthony Joshua, Conor Mcgregor etc. I play Basketball, but not really a fan of watching the game except it's finals of some sort. I am a massive football fan in that regard and i also prefer watching others like Boxing, MMA, Tennis sometimes depending on the opponents.
