Welcome to my weekly instalment of Dai’s Super 6 (powered by Dai's Datasheets). 6 games across all of Europe that I believe should be on every betting slip this weekend. I delve deep into 22 separate European football leagues weekly and pick out the best performers to give you the best chance of a return on your investment. For more information on how I do this, and to subscribe and receive up to date statistics weekly in Microsoft Excel format for over 400 football teams, please feel free to check out my website at www.daiharris.com. Dai’s Super 6

  • Arsenal v Liverpool (Both Teams to Score)
  • PSV v Vitesse (PSV Win)
  • Napoli v Sampdoria (Over 2.5 Goals Scored)
  • Kilmarnock v Rangers (Rangers Win)
  • Real Madrid v Barcelona (Both Teams to Score)
  • Peterborough v Bury (Peterborough Win)

Betting on a 6-match accumulator, at the time of writing this blog, returns 8/1.

I dig deeper into the rationale behind each prediction below.

English Premiership - Arsenal v Liverpool

Prediction: Both Teams to Score @ 2/5

Half of all Liverpool games this season have seen both teams score. Arsenal, on the other hand, have only been involved in 38.89% of games where both teams score. Both kept clean sheets last weekend, but with this being a clash between 2 teams fighting for a Champions League qualifying spot, I can see this being a reasonably safe prediction (particularly if Liverpool can poach an early lead).

Dutch Eredivisie - PSV v Vitesse

Prediction: PSV Win @ 3/10

PSV have won 82.35% of games this season, with Vitesse only winning 37.5% of games. Vitesse have only won 1 from 5 over the past 30 days, with PSV winning 4 from 6. It's 1st v 7th in the league, and with home advantage to PSV, I cannot see it being anything but a PSV win.

Italian Serie A - Napoli v Sampdoria

Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals Scored @ 2/5

64.71% of games this season, involving Napoli, have seen more than 2.5 goals scored. This statistic is even better for Sampdoria, with 75% of their games seeing more than 2.5 goals scored. Napoli top the table with +27 aggregate goals (compared to Sampdoria's +7 aggregate). Come Saturday afternoon, I can very much see both teams scoring with an out and out winner decided, making over 2.5 goals a reasonably safe bet (in my opinion).

Scottish Premiership - Kilmarnock v Rangers

Prediction: Rangers Win @ 8/13

Rangers come into this game off the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to St. Johnstone last weekend. They've already won 57.89% of games this season, compared to Kilmarnock's 26.32%, so will be looking for an immediate bounce back against a struggling side. Kilmarnock are conceding on average 1.37 goals per game, and have only managed 3 clean sheets in 19 attempts. I fully expect Rangers to pick up the 3 points come Saturday, and will be surprised if the result is anything but.

Spanish La Liga - Real Madrid v Barcelona

Prediction: Both Teams to Score @ 1/3

This is a game where I'm throwing stats out of the window, yet it's a game that I cannot ignore. It's too close to call a winner, yet has the potential to see more than 2.5 goals scored. The market I'm placing my money on though is for both teams to score. Both teams are filled full of world class players, which should provide a spectacle for the neutral. I'd be surprised if this turned out to be anything but entertaining come Saturday lunchtime.

English League 2 - Peterborough v Bury

Prediction: Peterborough Win @ 3/4

Bury have lost 57.14% of games this season and sit firmly at the bottom of the table. While Peterborough's win record isn't the best in the league, at 40.91%, and coming into this game off the back of a morale boosting win away against Fleetwood last weekend, I think Peterborough should have enough in the tank to send their home support away with 3 points to celebrate this Christmas.

Hey Dai,

Great write-up and explanations! I'm new to this platform as well and will be covering a lot of sportsbetting. I don't know much about soccer (football) though so I'd tail your picks. I'm going to follow and keep an eye out for all of your posts
