Second Day of Play!
Started a new account, which I will be documenting in this series. (If you do too, use my name- axrho in the refferal link, I'll delegate a Gold Foil card to you for the rest of the season)
The first thing I did was I put about $3.50 in the account (500 DEC) in order to rent the cards I would be using- this article is based on the strategy outlined in my previous article:
https://www.splintertalk.io/@axrho/beginners-get-gold-get-paid
you may want to read that, as well, if you are interested in making a profit playing Splinterlands.
Step 1: Renting Cards
Since I'd already rented everything I thought I wanted, Yesterday, there was no need to rent MORE cards. I just needed to make sure I had the ones I was using for at least another day.
Heading over to PeakMonsters, I used their very nice rental tool. In PeakMonsters, on the right side of the screen- at the bottom of the filters, there's a button
Rented: Only
Selecting that option filters all the cards down to just the ones you are currently renting and allows you to extend the rental and compare prices with cards, currently, on the market.
Clicking the blue cycle button allows you to add 1-180 days to your rental.
The numbers in the center are what you currently pay while the numbers on the right are the current price in the market- if you see a better deal than what you have, you can just click the blue cart and start renting that card instead of the one you have.
Also, the purple stack button allows you to stop renting anything you don't want anymore, and since I don't use the Fire Elemental anymore- I decided to do that. Save myself 6.7 DEC/day.
Step 2: Battle!
Back at it, again. as I had tuned the deck yesterday- I had a pretty solid lineup and a good strategy.
Chicken, Monkey, Ant, Beetle, General, Mantoid was 20 mana and VERY solid!
Adjusting for more mana would allow me to upgrade some of the cards- better Tanks, swap in the Shaman, etc.
While checking my opponent's Battle history (shown on the first Battle screen) I could see if her favored Water. If he did, Lord Arianias or Prismatic energy could be used as a Tank.
Cruised through about 6 games, took time off to let my ECR recover. Did 6 more games, then 12 games right before laying down- gave me 24, more games for the day. All the games were played at 95-100 ECR, except the last few of the day where I ran my ECR down to about 88. Averaged 5-6 DEC/win with the Golds and the Alpha/Promo cards.

Dude didn't, really, make it out of Round 1
Final Recap of the Day's Results:
34-14 over the past 2 days (16-7 for Day 2), so running JUST over 70% winrate while climbing to Bronze I during the past 2 days. Not doing too bad.
My 16 wins netted me 80 DEC while trimming my rentals and finding a couple of deals meant I spent ~120 DEC.
Had the Fire Quest, again and pulled a Potion out of it- 40 DEC.
Going with that valuation means I came out about even for the day, which isn't bad, for being in Bronze.
