# My First Posted Report Card - Splinter Stats Season 51 Report Card

in #splinterstats3 years ago

@beik47

Hello Everyone! This is my first time posting using the SplinterStats Website and posting a report card for a season. The data in this report card seems really useful for isolating areas where I need to improve. One thing to note...I am definitely not an expert in Splinterlands, so take everything you read here with a grain of salt. My only goals are to have fun and to keep getting better!

To date, this was by far my best season. I finished in Diamond II, but only missed Champion III by 47 points (my highest rating was 3653...close!). My two strongest splinters are Fire and Dragon, but I need to improve some of my other decks if I want to have a shot at Champion III this upcoming season. My goal is to work on Earth and Water first, with Life and Death getting attention later on.

As you can probably guess, Yodin was by far my favorite summoner to use. Interesting, when I first bought Yodin, I actually thought that I would enjoy using Byzantine Kitty more (the speed boost is super useful with fast cards in bronze/silver), but the blast ability is just too powerful to overlook. One area where I really need to improve is in the use of my water deck. I thought Lir Deepswimmer would be a better option then Borus, but I'm finding the 7 mana cost and lack of additional magic damage (like Alric Stormbringer) to be problematic. I still haven't quite figured out how to use Lir Deepswimmer, but that's a goal for this season. I also need to improve my low mana summoner choices, so I plan to obtain/level up Bortus, Mylor Crowling and Lorna Shine to help in this area.

Looking at the Top 100 Monster Usage, I'm not surprise to see the fire monsters to be my best win rate monsters (they're also my highest level monsters). Tower Griffin has been a nice addition, as the extra armor helps immensely when trying to protect some of the weaker monsters from other Yodins and such. I was happy to see that my Dragon monsters also did well, but I need to improve when using my water monsters (Lobstradamus having a 48.61% win rate...Phantom of the Abyss having a 40.00% win rate...yuck!). With a little bit of luck, we'll get these numbers up next season.

This category I feel is the most useful for me when helping me improve my deck/play. It's really nice to see the win rate by ruleset. From this data, I can see that Silenced Summoners, Taking Sides, Keep Your Distance and Up Close and Personal are the main rulesets I need to improve. Explosive weaponry also had a low win rate, but I attribute that to the fact that I typically did not use Yodin in that ruleset (was worried that having two blasts would be redundant and a waste of an ability). Obtaining higher level summoners and diversifying my deck should help with these rulesets (in addition to reviewing the lineups of some of the high level players in Champion I such as @Jacekw and @Bubke to see how they handle these rulesets...the knowledge of the game they demonstrate alone is impressive in itself!).

I don't really focus too much on tournaments...here I just play whatever I can afford to enter. Still some room for improvement for sure, but we'll see how next season goes.
