Splinterlands - Is it a good decision to have Lava Spider on your team?

Let's talk about Lava Spider, the featured card for today's weekly challenge, for those who don't know it is a common card from the fire deck of the chaos legion edition.

It is a card with a relatively low mana cost and its attack is of the ranged type, in addition it has the snipe ability which is an ability that prioritizes the attack of this card on enemy cards with ranged or magic attacks, and when there are no cards like that it attacks another card as long as it is not the one in the first position, but I will leave the correct definition below.

Snipe - Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.

She also has 2 other skills at higher levels, as you may have seen in the image the Lava Spider I used is level 5 because I'm using her in silver alloy, but at level 6 to 9 she has the Snare skill and at level 10 she has has the Posion skill so at level 10 she has all the skills.

Snare - When attacking enemies with Flying, removes the Flying ability and cannot miss those currently with flying. Can still miss monsters without flying or monsters that already have been snared.

Posion - Attacks have a chance (50%) to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied. Poison does 2 damage each end of the turn and is not affected by shield or void.

And this is the Lava Spider card, maybe for those who are afraid of spiders it's not that attractive and to top it off it's covered in larvae so I think it's not a good idea to have one of these at home but you'll certainly want it by your side on the battlefield.

Now that we know about this card, how about we see it on the battlefield? I will explain why I chose it and also which cards I thought would be a good combination.

As a summoner I chose Tarsa who is a fire deck summoner that gives +1 melee attack and +1 health and both attributes are very useful on the battlefield and for my card combination in this battle.

For the first position I chose the Serpentine Soldier card which is a very well known card and its abilities are extremely strong to receive attacks, as you can see it has the shield ability that reduces melee and ranged damage when received and also the dodge ability that increases the chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks by 25%, so in addition to reducing melee and ranged attacks she still has a great chance to dodge them with her dodge ability and her great agility.

In the second position I choose the Radiated Brute which is a melee card that can attack in the second position and that has a large amount of attack that combined with the summoner Tarsa makes it an incredible source of damage mainly in the silver alloy.

In the third position we have the Tenyii Striker that also has a large amount of attack and also the dodge skill that increases its chances of dodging attacks, in addition it has the sneak skill that allows it to attack enemy monsters from the last position while it is not first position card, so in addition to defeating the enemy cards from behind it will still serve as a great tank if the first 2 cards are defeated.

In the fourth position we have the Lava Spider which, in addition to having a very low mana cost, which is very beneficial, it also has the snipe ability so together with Tenyii Strike it will eliminate the enemy's back cards that are usually the most annoying.

In the fifth position we have Exploding Rats and the reason I use it in this battle and in this position is because in the battle that I will show it had the super sneak rule and in this rule all monsters with melee attack can attack from any position and will attack the enemy monster of the last position and as this card has the blast ability so it is very useful in this battle.

And in the last position we have the Fire Beetle which is a card with a ranged attack and which has the snipe ability but the main reason I put it in the last position is that it has 1 shield so there is a super sneak rule if you have one melee monster on the enemy team attacking my last monster so the shield will serve to defend 1 attack which can make a big difference in the battle, in addition thanks to the snipe skill it will help to eliminate the other cards from behind the enemy field.

Now let's go to battle.

BATTLE

As you can see in this battle the enemy has a great offensive power in the back lines as his summoner gives him +1 ranged attack in addition they also have shields thanks to Truthspeaker, but they are cards with very little health and as my team has a lot cards that attack the back row so it won't be a big problem but I still have to defeat the Shieldbearer that has the taunt ability.

In the first round the Serpentine Soldier was defeated and the enemy still has all the cards and a strong defense but I still have many other strong cards to occupy the first position so it's not a big problem that he was defeated.

In the second round I defeated its tank card and also the card that granted shield to the team and still has the Tenyii Strike to defend and the other cards behind the enemy field are unprotected so it was not a problem to eliminate them since they had very little health.

And in the third round I defeated them all and got the victory, as you can see it was enough for me to defeat their main defense and after that all their cards were defeated in sequence and in a short time.

This was the battle I wanted to show and as you can see practically all my cards attacked the enemy's back line so this is an advantage of having a Lava Spider card in your team as she has the snipe ability so just combine it it with other cards like that and you will have a good combination.
