Hi, fellow summoners!
Recently the new set of soulbound rewards cards came up and I must admit that these cards are pretty good. But it is always a good idea to try to get the best cards for your league as soon as possible as these cards will help you in the battles.
So let's go through all the new cards and let's see on which cards you should focus.
When you are looking cards for the Bronze league you want to pick monsters that have at least 2 attack so in case you are facing opponent with Shield or Void at leat some of your attack will go through.
It's a rare monster which means you can play it on level two in the Bronze league. With 8 mana cost it's not a cheap monster but on level two it comes with 4 attack, 2 speed, 3 armor, and 6 health. It's not the best tank, especially against magic monsters but it also has a Flank ability that enables melee monsters to attack from the second place in your team.
An amazing monster with great stats. For only 2 mana you will get 4 ranged damage, 3 speed, and 5 health. Not bad right? But Kha'zi Conjurer comes with a catch. It has an Incendiary ability which has 33% spread Burning - all units with Burning lose 2 health per turn. There are some rulesets like "Back to Basics" where monsters looses all the abilities where this card provides insane value.
This common monster is another good tank for the Water splinter. In the Bronz league you can play him on level 3 which means that 8 mana will give you a monster with 4 attack, 3 speed, 2 armor, and 7 health, which is not bad at all. On top of that, his Shield ability makes him a pretty good tank against melee and ranged attacks. With 7 health he is a bit weak against magic attacks, especially with a cost of 8 mana.
It's probably one of the best cards in the set. A rare card with high mana cost but it provides big value. For 10 mana you will get a monster with 3 attack, 4 speed, 5 armor, and 8 health. Speed is decent and on top of that, he has Dodge ability which gives him 25% to dodge melee and ranged attacks. Enfeeble - on successful attack removes one attack from the opponent - I am not a huge fan of this ability but it can be useful.
Interesting epic monster that has 4 magic damage, 4 speed, and 5 health on level 2 for just 4 mana. The bad side of this OP monster is that he has the ability Electrified that deals 1 damage to all your monsters at the start of each turn. If you are using this card, you better try to win very fast or try to boost your monsters if there is an Enrage ruleset. Of course, this monster is amazing with the "Back to Basics" ruleset.
Interesting card that is mana expensive for what you get but with amazing potential. For 6 mana you will get 2 attack, 3 speed, 1 armor, and 5 health. if you are looking only at stats that is not that good but it has Opportunity ability as well as Execute ability. It means that if the target has 2 or less attack after the first attack Thanalorian Blade will perform another attack against this target. That could be really good for eliminating those annoying targets with low health and just one or two armor that is blocking your attack.
It's probably the best card in the set because of its Mimic ability which works amazing with the Life splinter. You want to protect this card with taunt monsters like Iziar or in some other way. It won't do much damage with 1 magic and 1 melee attack but you are using this card for its ability. Mimic will steal an ability every turn so Olivia can steal quite a lot of abilities through the game which makes her hard to kill. Olivia can also steal abilities that will buff your team so it can become very valuable card on the field. Definitely a must-have card.
Good card for the Small League ruleset. You will use this card if you want to protect some of your glass cannons and give them a chance so they can attack once or even twice. 4 mana for 2 attack, 1 speed, and 5 health is not bad. Taunt ability is what makes this card even better. To be hones this cards is way better from level 2 when it gets Shield and some other buffs and debuffs that can be quite useful.
Death Splinter already has some of the Opportunity and Sneak attackers so this guy is a good filler for that tactic. With 3 mana cost, 2 attack, 3 speed, and 3 health it's quite a good monster. It will clean up monsters after attacks of Silent Sha-Vi and Uraeus. I would prefer him on the max level with 3 attack, but well that's far away from the Bronze league.
This legendary card is nothing special but pure stats will give you a really decent meat shield for your other monsters that you want to protect. For 4 mana you will get 1 ranged attack, 3 speed, 6 armor, and 4 health. Void Armor means it's not an easy target for magic attackers - so it's basically 10 health for 4 mana which is a good deal.
So there you go, from my point of view, these are the best Soulbound Reward cards in the Rebellion expansion. The interesting part is that you must to play the #splinterlands game to earn Glint in order to buy chests to get these cards. Cards will be purchasable in the future and these cards will be unlockable for a fee so you can sell them to other players who may be missing some cards at the end of the rotation.
This is a very interesting part of this #playtoearn concept which is more aligned with the gaming part than with the earning and crypto part of this game. How do you like it?
