Social Media Challenge: Rebellion!

Introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my Splinterlands Social Media post featuring the upcoming set - Rebellion! In this post I'll cover Rebellion presale and Promo cards.

Rebellion Presale

Rebellion Presale started on 18th of October and reached Matt's goal of 250k packs sold within hours. It should be mentioned that the Presale was a total success given how many packs sold! Presale will last for 30 days, and packs bought during the Presale will offer multiple benefits - including Legendary summoner design rights, Titles and Promo cards.

At a time of writing this post, almost 280k packs have been purchased/gifted!

Legendary Summoners

The biggest prizes for the Rebellion presale come in the form of Design rights for the top 6 buyers of the packs. They will get to work with the team to design new legendary summoners that will be Dual element and will have Tactics that would allow players to choose summoner buffs after seeing opposing team! Sounds way too good to be honest.

It's worth noting that next batch of Legendary summoners will have to adhere to the set's theme. So don't expect any more cats and pandas - which in my opninon breaks immersion, so this new rules makes me a happy gamer.

Titles

Top purchasers of the Rebellion presale packs will also receive Special titles. These titles come in 3 different rarities:

Promo Cards - Mantaroth and Grimbardun Smith

This time around, Rebellion Presale will bring 2 new Promo cards.

Legendary Mantaroth card which will be awarded for every 100 packs.

Rare Grimbardun Smith card which will be awarded for every 10 packs.

To be honest I'm not too impressed with the Mantaroth. On the other hand, Grimbardun Smith looks pretty promising. I expect he will start with Immunity in bronze, and receive Void in silver, Armor in gold and Armor Repair in diamond league. He will be pretty decent tank in gold, especially in reverse speed ruleset.

Set Rotation

Rebellion is scheduled to drop out on 5th of December, and on that date the long awaited rotation of Untamed set from Modern to Wild will happen. I bet there is a lot of players including myself that are eagerly awaiting the much needed change of the Modern meta.

Say goodbye to the Yodins, Llamas and Kitties and wish them all the best in Wild!

Conclusion

Presales are always fun and this time with burn mechanic introduced from the start, I feel like cards should hold their value better.

Last thing we need is another overprinted, almost worthless set like Chaos legion.
