I hope everyone is well. I made the mistake of checking twitter right after the Steem HF. It was so wild and crazy I couldn't stop reading about the twist and turns. The lack of sleep was well worth it. Yesterdays comment asked you folks if I should post only on Hive or stick to both. It seems like most think double posting is the way to go. I decided I will listen and post on Hive and Steem at least until the end of the month. Thanks for the feed back
Yesterdays winner of 250 DEC
@chekohler DEC already sent to Hive-engine my friend.
Yesterdays Runner up winner of 50 DEC
@madgol It seems we are on the same page. Here is his comment 'I use only Hive for reading posts, upvoting, participating giveaways, interacting. I'm still posting on steem only to get steemmonsters upvote, when they'll stop, I'll stop'.
Todays Giveaway
Comment your thoughts on only buying cards Via DEC and Credits and olny reciving DEC as payment starting as soon as the Hive migration happens(June First is the ETA). I hope they give us a hive option in the near future.
Shout Out Time
@chekohler has a great channel and puts out all kinds of high quality post. Its truly a mixed bag of great post, go show him some love.
@pardinus Puts out healy helpful Splinterlands post like ROI, giveaways and more. He post cool non splinterlands stuff also.
@ronaldoavelino is your man if you are into coins and medals, I love it.
@clove71 this is the gal to follow if you are looking at winning Splinterlands cards, orbs, packs, and DEC. She never stops giving and has helped me a lot on my splinterlands journey.
That is all for today my friends, come back tomorrow for a great tip I have been using.
I want to accumulate DEC for lands, mining and crafting in future expansions of the game.
I am not sure what this is going to do for my card rentals or whether there will be a Hive version of Peakmonsters.
more options is better
I like the move to all cards bought with DEC and credits. It is time for the game to stand more on its own. Face it people who are not on Hive and Steem are our targets now. When they join they will get an account but it doesn’t mean when they sell cards they want Hive or Steem. Though I would like to see the game add a swap from DEC to other coins like Doge or LTC or something.
My thoughts exactly. As @splinterlands pointed out they are fully into developing the game itself. It will take a time till they free their developers for blockchain stuff of the game. I do remember as still excited about the game upgrade that they have been working on. It could be revealed this year.
Cheers!

Thanks for the DEC and the shoutout I appreciate it! Hmmm I didn’t know they changing the ability to purchase so you have to convert say BTC to DEC or credits to buy? Hmmm not really a fan
Thanks for the DECs!
In my opinion is a good simplification. So in-game we will deal only with credits and DECs. Then crypto users will be able to selle DEC for other cryptos, non crypto users don't see their sells go into "nothing"
I'm happy only receiving DEC, I can always convert it to Hive if I want Hive.
I basically use DEC for buying and selling anyway; just hoping to see how Peakmonsters will work, since it's my usual marketplace. Thanks for the shoutout!
I'm hoping they open it up to other options. 🤞
I think focusing on credits makes the game easier for non-crypto peeps
Hmmm... Anyway, I don't have a problem with them removing the Steem as currency in Splinterlands. But it would be best if they could include Hive as an alternative aside from the possible implementation.
Currently, the process of receiving more DEC token would help the economy of the token as we can see more trading of that token in Hive-engine. And possibly, with its boosts of trading activity, there might be a chance that the value of DEC might increase than its current value.
I do have less DEC tokens and I would assume that it will be the best help for us new players in Splinterlands. And for the credits, currently, I don't purchase from crypto's so it doesn't matter to me.
