Was archer released before undead Minotaur or is it a reward from the same generation? I don’t recall, but despite the puny attack I knew true strike would be a badass ability, especially paired with snipe. Back then Silvershield Paladin was still a top contender for the first position and that shield ability made the extra strike as useless as the first, but throwing snipe into the mix made it pretty valuable, even back then.
It still struggled, as Lord Arianthus was a top pick for the second position in the early days, but I’d argue it’s had its uses since day one. This is a very nice card to have in one’s collection. Good luck to everyone!
Edit to remind you not to include me in the drawing. I'd rather newcomers benefit from your generosity.
If I remember correctly, Minotaur and Silvershield Archers were the same generation.
I still never get any use out of undead Minotaur. I may have used it successfully half a dozen times to date, although I will concede that a likely reason is because I just have other melee cards I like better, so when the chance to use it comes up I have what I consider better options. I mean, why not just drop the extra mana point and use Lord if Darkness or skimp one and use haunted spirit? Both bring more to the table in my experience.
Minotaur does have limited use, but drop an Enchanted Pixie on the team when ruleset is Super Sneak and you have a powerful weapon with enough health to tangled up with thorns a time or two and still keep coming.
I might give that a try with a Daria summoner sometime and see how it goes. 🙂
