RE: More players are buying into Splinterlands than ever before

Let's be realistic here about why more people are buying Spellbooks:

Newly released Splinterlands features, such as land, Guilds, and the SPS governance token, may also entice new players to stick around, and increase Spellbook purchase rates.

That's about 99% of the story - no Spellbook, no airdrop.

I mean there's an almost perfect correlation between the day of the airdrop we're on and the rise of Spellbook purchases!

so what happen when the airdrop stop?

Well I'd expect a massive dump and market crash a couple of months before it does. People always try to get out early, but knowing the Splinterlands team they'll probably have something in place by then to make it worth hanging onto your assets!

That's so frustrating and why I think it'll be a long time before any Blockchain games really land. Too many people don't see them as actual games and just want interactive get rich quick schemes. Splinterlands is a good game.

I agree I forsee a dump coming at some point which sucks.
But like you said I am also excited to see what the Splinterlands team comes up with next to avoid said drop.
