We have a new Battle Challenge for this week. Let's gear up and head to the battlefield using our featured monster of the week.
Challenge Rules
THEME: SUPPLY RUNNER
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: NEUTRAL
Attack: RANGED
Abilities: Swiftness at level 5
Battle Ruleset
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.
Lineup Strategy
Drake of Arnak
The additional +1 Armor that this Summoner adds to our team will increase their chance of surviving critical hits. We'll be using a Dragon+Death Splinter lineup in this matchup.
Cursed Windeku
This monster's Thorns ability that deals damage back to Melee attackers when hit is the perfect skill for a tank monster since it will be the focus of most attacks. It also has a huge amount of Health and a decent Melee attack power.
This will be our backup tank as well as our damage dealer. Its Life Leech ability that increases its Health each time it damages an enemy monster will be a great advantage if its able to last for several rounds. Since it uses Magic attack, it can surely chip away an enemy monster's Health without worrying about any armor it may have.
Last but not the least is our featured monster of the week. We're placing it on the last position since it uses Ranged attack. Its 2 Ranged attack power can surely take down low health enemy monsters blocking its path.

Our opponent chose a Summoner that boosts Magic attack. There's also an enemy monster that has the Void ability that reduces damage taken from Magic attacks.
Our featured monster Supply Runner was able to eliminate the enemy monster at the 1st position with a single hit in Round 1.
Round 2 was quite a steady round since no monster died. However, we are at a bit of disadvantage because Life Sapper was not able to gain life due to the enemy monster with the Void ability absorbing its attack.
Our tank monster was able to eliminate the enemy Unicorn Mustang using its Thorns ability in Round 3. Unfortunately, it also died from the Melee damage it received from that attack.
Good thing Life Sapper was able to gain some life from its last attack as it almost died from the enemy monster's Magic attack in Round 4. Luckily, Supply Runner and Life Sapper made enough damage to eliminate the remaining enemy monster on the battlefield making us the winner in this matchup.
Conclusion
Supply Runner did some good damage to the enemy monsters sitting at the 1st position. Fortunately, Life Sapper was still standing in the last round sitting at the 1st position. Without it, Supply Runner would have been at the 1st position not able to attack since its a Ranged attack monster.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Our strategy of having Life Sapper generate Health in the 1st few rounds did not go well since there was an enemy monster with the Void ability that reduces the damage taken from Magic attacks. Maybe we should have used another Ranged monster in its place to quickly eliminate the enemy team.
Do you like SUPPLY RUNNER? Why or why not?
I don't like using Supply Runner because of its high mana cost and it has no skill at level 1. There are better options for 6 mana monsters that has useful abilities such as Mantoid that has the Snipe ability.
I hope you liked our featured match in this post. See you next week for another Splinterlands Battle Challenge!!!
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
