Hello everyone. It's time for another Splinterlands Battle Challenge. Our featured card for this week is from the Chaos Legion set. Let's see if we can utilize its ability to our advantage and win this battle.
Challenge Rules
THEME: CHAOS KNIGHT
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: LIFE
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Shield
Battle Ruleset
Standard: No modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.
Lineup & Strategy
This is my usual Summoner when using a Life Splinter lineup because of my 2 favorite Ranged monsters that we'll use in today's featured matchup. This card will also boost our team's Ranged attack by 1.
Tank: Chaos Knight
We'll be using our featured card as the tank monster in our lineup because of its high armor and decent health. Its Shield ability is also suited for a tank monster since it reduces damage from Melee and Ranged attacks.
Chaos Agent
This will be our backup tank that will take over once Chaos Knight bites the dust. Since it has no attack and has only 1 health, it also has a high chance of being targeted by enemy monsters with Snipe and Opportunity abilities.
Venari Crystalsmith
This will be our Tank Healer. Its going to increase our tank's presence on the battlefield protecting our team from frontal attacks. It also uses Range attack that will be boosted by our summoner giving it a decent attack damage of 2.
Pelacor Arbalest
This will be our damage dealer. Its Double Strike ability that attacks twice each round will be very useful. Its boosted 3 Ranged attack damage will deal a whooping 6 damage in total that can surely eliminate any monster blocking its path.
Stitch Leech
We're placing this card on the last position to protect our team from Sneak attacks. It also has the Sneak ability that will be useful in eliminating enemy monsters in the last position.

Our opponent decided to use the same Summoner also boosting Ranged attacks by 1. There's also an enemy monster that adds 2 armor to friendly monsters and another one that Slows down enemy monsters. This will be a difficult battle with that additional armor on our opponent's lineup.
With some help from our Ranged attack monsters, Chaos Knight was able to eliminate the enemy tank monster on Round 1.
We lost 2 monsters including Chaos Knight on Round 2 so Venari Crystalsmith took over as our new tank monster. Good thing our team were also able to eliminate 2 enemy monsters including their damage dealer Pelacor Arbalest thanks to the Sneak ability of Stitch Leech.
Pelacor Arbalest was able to eliminate the enemy monster that adds 2 armor to the enemy team. Stitch Leech was also able to eliminate the enemy monster at the backline leaving one Ranged attack enemy monster that can no longer attack since its on the 1st position.
Pelacor Arbalest was able to eliminate the remaining enemy monster on Round 4 claiming victory in this battle!!!
Conclusion
Our opponent had the upperhand in this battle because of the +2 armor buff to friendly monsters and the Slow debuff on our team. The turning point was when Stitch Leech was able to eliminate the enemy Pelacor Arbalest using its Sneak ability. Its Double Stike ability really hurts as it can easily kill one monster each round. After it was gone, things started to favor our team till we won the battle by Round 4.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Our strategy of using Chaos Knight's ability and our Tank Healer to extend its presence on the battlefield to protect our team did not go as planned because of the enemy Pelacor Arbalest's Double Strike ability. Good thing Venari Crystalsmith stepped up as our tank monster and healed itself every round. Stitch Leech also made an excellent move of eliminating our opponent's damage dealers at the right moment turning things around and giving us a sweet victory.
Do you like the CHAOS KNIGHT? Why or why not?
I like using Chaos Knight in low mana battles because of its Shield ability. Its able to last several rounds giving our damage dealers ample time to remove threats on the opposite side of the battlefield.
That's all for now folks. Thank you for your continued support to this game. Have a great weekend!!!
What is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
