What is going on? People are now talking about how we have to buy more than 350 packs to be guaranteed airdrops. I read this 3 days ago posted directly from Splinterlands.
"Furthermore, players will be GUARANTEED to receive one of EACH of the airdrop cards for every 350 packs purchased! Unlike the special Doctor Blight airdrop, there will be no amount of packs that guarantees a gold foil version of the cards, however the chances of receiving a gold foil version of the cards will be increased to 4% from the typical 2% - meaning 1 out of every 25 airdropped cards will be gold foil on average."
No where in that post does it say anything about the amount of packs needed to increase BY ANY AMOUNT. Actually, it says SPECIFICALLY "players will be GUARANTEED to receive one of EACH of the airdrop cards for every 350 packs purchased! "
It says EACH OF THE AIRDROPS, not EACH OF THESE AIRDROPS. Implying all airdrops. If they increase the amount of packs needed after I sent my $1500 then that is a horrible move of greed and deceit and I feel like I got tricked. I bought 350 packs to GUARANTEE that I received the airdrops. That was money I had to scrape together, it was very hard to do but I justified it KNOWING that I was GUARANTEED the airdrops. Why would that change after people literally sent millions of dollars to SL to buy packs? Am I not supposed to trust the team/game anymore? My excitement for airdrops just turned to dread and frustration that I am not going to get what I was GUARANTEED. If someone has more information please let me know...
It is based on how many packs have sold and odds of getting that card. The more cards, the lower your odds of getting that card. So, as airdrops come out, the number of packs purchased goes up slightly.
You are guaranteed one of each of the first 3 cards and they will let you know the probability of the next batch when it is announced. It won't be much more than 350.

HTe first to airdrops were 300. The next 3 are 350. The last one might be 425 or something like that. Just follow the splinterlands account and read their airdrop announcement posts that come out before the airdrop to make sure you are good.
