Lol that's the thing though! I started the game and I WANTED to put money into it to get a decent launchpad, but I didn't! After not finding any packs, reading up on the newest set, I put my wallet away. It just doesn't make sense for a new player like me to buy in this late in the game. I like your idea of allocating a minimum number of packs to new players, that would very much encourage new players AND new money. But what they have going on right now just doesn't. I enjoy the game so I'll wait and see. I hope splinterlands takes some of these messages to heart.

Absolutely agree with you both. I was considering purchasing SPS as a new player to stake, as I really enjoy the game. But SPS is already double the price of what others have bought for, which means if rewards are allocated based on SPS staking amount, those who bought in early are already so far ahead there is no way to close this gap.
I enjoy the game, I want to purchase these packs to get new cards so I can progress. I've been playing for a month and am still under 800 power level so I can't even progress to bronze level 2. There are very limited opportunities to increase my own position that don't involve spending thousands and thousands for a slight chance to increase. This is a very demoralising situation after thinking I could really enjoy and benefit from this pre-sale of the packs
