I know, I know. The Spawn image is amazing so just couldn't resist to put it up first. But before all that, I wanted to breakdown some key takeaways from the recent Splinterlands Town Hall. We won't go through everything and I definitely suggest for everyone to go through the whole thing as it's as informative as always but I do want to highlight a few key things I find very interesting for myself. Please note that these things aren't final and could change so nothing is set in stone as finer details may get updated in the future.

Major Guild Update
There has been mention about potential major Guild updates and while nothing is set yet, some of the things I want to cover are as follows:
DEC-B
DEC-B can be used on guild buildings. The next update is expected to be around 2 weeks from now if I'm not mistaken or potentially even sooner. While it's nothing too exciting to most people, it can be a big DEC sink saver if you or your guildmates have some DEC-B stashed. Even if most of the DEC-B is used towards energy refills or land, this gives another use case for DEC-B, too.
Guild Points
The age old problem with the guild system is that once you donate your DEC towards the buildings and upgrades, they are essentially gone forever without the donating party getting anything. If that person leaves or is kicked out of the guild, all the DEC put in essentially becomes a thank you for your help kind of thing.
Guild points wants to change all that and it was mentioned that you burn your tokens, in this case DEC, and for that you get guild points instead. Once you leave or are kicked from your current guild for whatever reason, you take the vast majority of the guild points with you. It was mentioned to be in the 90%ish range, which is quite hefty.
2 other things that become follow up questions for this would be:
- What happens to the buildings that the guild points were spent towards?
- The short answer would be that the building would most likely level down.
- What happens if I just want to give to the guild and not take it when I leave or get kicked?
- This option would most likely be available as a donation option so more like a setting to toggle on/off.
Revamp of Feedback.splinterlands.com
TeamPH and YGG. There's always some people who have problems with getting their entries in and would end up surrendering even if they are there to do their inputs. We can only suggest to file a ticket but finding where to place it was the first thing most users try to figure out. If a good revamp of the layout of this were to happen, it would be helpful to direct everyone there so that all data inconsistencies can be collated and sorted out. This is something I find that is long overdue. Navigating the feedback section can be quite daunting provided you even know how to find it in the first place! I recently hosted a weekend tourney with @damour on behalf of
Mini Set of Cards
It wasn't touched on a lot but there was mention on having a mini set of cards, too. It might be in line with the Promo card style but it will for sure give more diversity in options for the game. Promo card details below.
Promo Card Sale
Now for the cherry on top! There have been some speculations about this for quite a while and the analogy used was what would be better than vanilla or chocolate ice cream? A twister of both! This was more of a teaser for the dual splinter type cards and while Weirdbeard didn't want to give away anything, this was what it was alluding to. The thumbnail image I shared was the one that AxlerTwinBlade made based off of speculations from a while back at around February or so. It's not a final card at all but it looks amazing! In this particular example, the card was a speculation of the potential studio collab as well as the dual splinter type. The card here has both dragon and dark type so could be useable by both splinters.
Some key items on this:
- Target to be ready for May 2nd
- Would most likely need Vouchers and DEC
- Would potentially introduce a future game mechanic which isn't a one off which would be the dual splinter type cards
Overall, a lot of interesting points coming to make us excited and I didn't even touch on a lot of major things like land and other things. May 2nd is shaping up to be a big update with various things to look out for and it's just right around the corner! Lots of things to look forward to!

Nice looking OP card, hehehe
wondering how this card will change the meta.
This will get diversified for sure and may help newer players, too.
Thanks for the info mochi!
Thanks for sharing my Spawn concept card. I have been pushing the team towards a promo card (Monster Card) that could be used in dual splinters. possibly 2-3 splinters.
a few weeks later is when we started hearing the team pitch Dual Splinter Summoners. While summoners will be really cool. I believe summoners have a bigger game breaking chance.
I would recommend they start with a Dual or triple splinter Monster card to start with. before jumping right into summoners that allow hundreds of cards to be mashed up together.
Either way I am excited to see the next promo card. I am sure its a Dual splinter card.!
Definitely agree! Versatility will help especially for new players as it can be daunting thinking about owning your cards at the start. Cards might be scarce too with the advent of land. Thanks for all that you do, bro!
Axler made this on his end. He's amazing haha
