Ketovore Returns.

in #splinterlands3 years ago (edited)

During the summer months, my life in the real world snatched me out of the Splinterlands and planted me back in my role as the owner/operator of a small but very busy seasonal business.

Sure, I kept up with Splinterlands along the way as much as possible but my attention was mostly spent on the types of matters that you'd expect one to encounter running a business and working 16 hour days.

I enjoy working hard all summer knowing that if things go well then I'll be able to do whatever I want with my time in the off-season--all 3 of them. Which brings me back to Splinterlands.

While I was away, my posts from Splintertalk just kind of disappeared and I didn't know why. As a result, I wasn't really motivated to start posting again.

On a whim, the other day, I decided to browse PEAKD (PeakD? Peakd?) and found my older Entry's and How-To's. That was cool. Now I intend to post somewhat regularly.

I don't really care about the rewards for posting, although they don't hurt, I just really enjoy interacting with this community. There's so much contagious excitement about the future of this game, it's a nice juxtaposition to the existential dread drenching most social networks back in the "real" world.

Not only that, but I have lots to do around here. I'm tired of getting my ass-kicked by Kitty in silver league so I really have to come up with some new starting line-ups and strategies for different buffs.

Sometimes Splinterlands feels like a really cool remote desk job. And unlike any desk job I've ever had in the past, I can't wait to go to work everyday. There's daily quests to complete, leagues to climb, bids to check on Peakmonsters, super cheap Rewards cards to accumulate, SPS rewards to claim and stake, little bits of gossip floating around on discord, declined guild join requests to check up on, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I also like to get caught up on the latest YouTube vids by Clove and Bulldog and Infidel and SL Guides and Crypto Llama and and...If you're reading this then I'm sure you already know. I don't really have a point with this post. Except to say that it's good to be back in the Splinterlands.
