Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge - Tactics Summoner are KINGS!

Hey Splintermates, here we are again with a new Splinterlands Challenge proposed by the team 😎. We have been asked to prepare a post based on the new released Tactics summoners:

  • Using Tactics Summoners in the Tactics Stage.
  • Ambush Rounds: How to plan for unexpected attacks.
  • Buffs and Debuffs: Strategies for maximizing advantages and minimizing threats.
  • Counters: How to respond effectively to popular Tactics Summoners.

I have been playing for years Splinterlands and I haven´t written any challenge until a few months ago. It is a unique opportunity for us to share this game on social media and also a unique opportunity for us players to get some additional earnings. As you know, Splinterlands is (not only, much much more) a Play to EARN game.

RISQRUEL DRATH - THE FLYING BOSS!

Above you can see one of the recently released Tactics Summoner RISQRUEL DRATH. This summoner is also a dual element summoner.

This means, you can play both Splinters, FIRE and EARTH. Lets have a deeper look at the abilities of this card.

ABILITIES and additional Stats that all units get:

1- Ranged attack +1
2- Flying ability: This ability is really OP for rulesets with Earthquakes. I will show later a battle where you will see the power of this card.

And in addition, you can choose between these two options:

OPTION 1: IMPEDE and TRUE STRIKE

IMPEDE: Each successful attack reduces the defender's Speed by 1.
TRUE STRIKE: This monster's attacks cannot miss.

You need to combine these two abilities to your 2 most powerful monsters, so they always hit and in addition, the affected monster loose speed. Currently, speed is one of the most important statistic in the game. SPEED is META.

OPTION 2: TAUNT and REDEMPTION

TAUNT: All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to).
REDEMPTION: When this Monster dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters.

You can select one of your monster and it will get these two abilities.

From both options, I always choose option 1, with impede and true strike. These combination is really powerful, as you will not miss and you will generate a speed delta.

LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE💪!

Now that we know what this legendary tactics summoner can do, lets see it in action. If you want to follow my explanation, please check the battle.

This is a battle in Wild format, so there are more options to prepare strategies. Before starting explaning the strategy, let us analyze the match and the 3 different ruleset:

  • EARTHQUAKE: Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.
  • EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY: All Monsters have the Blast ability.
  • COUNTERSPELL: All units have magic reflect.

As I own the RISQRUEL DRATH and the earthquake ruleset is available, I knew that he was going to be my summoner. The advantage of all units getting the flying ability for this ruleset is too OP.

ROUND 1 - TACTICS SELECTION

From the TACTICS options explained above, I have chosen OPTION 1 and have selected KHA´ZI CONJURER and TINDERLOCK as my 2 monsters with TRUE STRIKE and IMPEDE ability. I was aware that KHA´ZI CONJURER wasn´t going to last long, but with 5 true strike damage and blast, the enemy was going to receive a huge amount of damage. And TINDERLOCK with LAST STAND ability and 2 Martyrs next to him, the damage that he could do was going to be amazing.

ROUND 2 - CHECK

After round 1, the battle is looking pretty good for me. TINDERLOCK is hitting in the front with True strike, after his MARISOL CONTUMA. His MARISOL CONTUMA should be hitting me, but he misses. And both of my ranged cards hit him. If you play chess, you would know that I would be calling chess.

ROUND 3 - CHECK MATE and GG!

After round 2, I took down his Mana Warden and his MARISOL CONTUMA had only 2 health points (and the damage from Earthquake was going to come). He has more speed than my cards, but he is not able to kill any of them with 1 hit. So, CHECK MATE and GG 🤠!

Rewards in Wild are less than in Modern, but I got +230 Glint and nearly +1 SPS. Everything counts🤑!

I got him as the only airdrop I got from conflicts, but as he's unusable at lvl 1 for the moment I'll just save it for when CA launches (and hopefully by then level him up to silver level)

Hi Mate, maybe for Modern lvl 1 is low, but it works for me playing in Wild in Gold 2 with this card :).
