Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge: Chaos Knight

Hello again, I hope everyone has been doing great! Another day alive is a blessing!

I haven't had the time to do a proper "about me" post yet, but here is my Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge in the mean time, featuring the Light Splinter monster: Chaos Knight!

If you would like to see the battle in it's entirety, you can watch by clicking here.

Round 1: The battlefield before first blood is drawn

Rulesets:
Reverse Speed - Slowest Monsters Attack First
Lost Legendaries - Legendary Monsters Can't Be Used

Team Positioning:

Using magic attacks seems to becoming increasingly common again in the lower ranked battles (Bronze/Silver) and with that in mind, I chose to use the Pelacor Conjurer in the first position (tank) in hopes that I could use it's Magic Reflect ability to return some of the magic damage sent towards my team.
In the second position, I've placed Chaos Knight as a backup tank which will replace the Pelacor Conjurer once it is eliminated. This is one of my favorite ways to use the Chaos Knight, because of it's ability to absorb a decent amount of damage (it's Shield ability reduces the damage from ranged and melee attacks).
The third position belongs to Dax Paragon. This is a very valuable card that is a low mana cost (2) and can be a game-changer with the Amplify ability, which increases the damage done by these abilities: Thorns, Magic Reflect, and Return Fire.
In the fourth spot I have a Sneak monster, Stitch Leech, which will provide an attack on the farthest back-positioned monster on the opposing team where some of the more vulnerable monsters are sometimes placed.
I placed the Venari Crystalsmith in the 5th position of my team in hopes of providing ample protection for it since it has the Tank-healing ability and also provides some extra ranged damage to the enemies front line.
The rear position is held by another Sneak monster, Uraeus, which will provide an additional attack on the back of the opposing team's lineup. Often times having 2 or more Sneak monsters will provide a swift way to erase an enemies team's back-line. I placed Uraeus at the back to allow extra defense on my own back-line; Uraeus has +1 Shield, sometimes allowing it to be able to tank an extra attack before it is eliminated.

Round 2

Although my Pelacor Conjurer was defeated in the first round, it did it's job of tanking damage while also reflecting the magic damage from three monsters with Amplified damage, taking down two of them. Their first position monster was also taken out, leaving only half of the enemy's team on the battlefield by the end of the first round while I have five monsters able to attack remaining.

Round 3: The end is nigh...

In the second round the opposing team's secondary tank (Kelp Initiate) is taken down and their primary damage dealer left (Nerissa Tridawn) is brought to near death by my Sneak monsters, while my team is still in very good shape. At the beginning of the third round it is clear that victory is just around the corner. The Chaos Knight did a great job of holding down the tank position after my primary tank was taken down.

This was a great win, countering the ever increasingly difficult magic meta! Thank-you for reading, and I hope this battle has provided you with some knowledge, insight, and maybe some fun!

Cheers!
