Weekly Battle Share : Void Dragon

Introduction

Hello guys! Welcome to my first blog. This week's focus is on Dragon Monsters and Splinters. I like Dragon Splinter beacause of it's versatility. My most used Dragon combo is Delwyn Dragonscale + Void Dragon with magic damage monsters from other Splinters. Void Dragon with it's high speed, flying and void ability paired with low mana cost is a nightmare for slow monsters. Delwyn's +1 magic in this magic dominated meta makes him a pretty strong Splinter. Anyway Here is the battle line up -

Ruleset

1. Armored Up -- +2 Armor
2. Low mana(19)
3. Only three Splinter type available -- Life, Death and Dragon

Thought Process and Positioning

With only three available Splinters, people generally go for Death Splinter with Cursed Windeku in front paired with sneak attack in back. That's why Void Dragon in front will dodge a lot of attacks of Windeku and no damage from thorns. I chose Delwyn to increase damage output if someone went General Sloan with Herbalist.

I placed it in first position as tank as it could easily dodge most attacks of melee and archer monsters and with void it counters life leach of Death Splinter

At second and third position I placed two life leach monsters namely **Venari Bonesmith** and **Life Sapper** respectively. I did this because I know life and death generally do not have a void ability(i.e. 1 magic damage is negated) monster in first place and I also wanted to avoid sneak attack hit on them.

3. 
At fourth position there is Creeping Ooze with the Slow ability. With enemy monsters' decreased speed, dodge rate of Void Dragon increases.

4. 
Bankend is covered by Shadowy Presence which is highly OP card. I placed it in last to counter sneak attack as it have 4 health for 1 mana plus 2 armor from ruleset.

Even though Thaddius Brood(Above Summoner) Countered my Delwyn still it was an overwhelming victory for Delwyn
