Weekly Battle Challenge : Supply Runner π
Introduction
Hello guys welcome to my blog. This week's battle challenge theme is Supply Runner. Supply Runner is a neutral monster πΉ which means it can be used in any available splinter. It does archery π― damage. As the name suggests ("Runner") it has an ability which increases speed of friendly monsters by 1, tho this ability gets unlocked at level 5. Until level 5 it is just a regular Archer and frankly there are better alternatives for it in every splinter until it gets it ability. In case you wanna read the Lore of Supply Runner here's the Link
Here are Level 1 stats of Supply Runner
Mana Cost - 6
Health β€οΈ - 4
Speed π - 3
Armor π‘οΈ - Nill
Damage πΉ - 2 Archery Damage
Ability - Swiftness (Increases speed of friendly monsters by 1)
Stats at other levels are follows :
πΈ Current Market Stats πΈ
As of writing Price/BCX vary from $0.17 to $0.21.This card is very good at silver league and beyond. I personally do not expect price of this card to change very much but you never know. With new reward changes many people will push to atleast silver because of higher chance of getting a pack. If you wanna check yourself here's the in-game Market Link.
Anyways Let's get into the battle. Here's the line up :
Summoners Used :
Ruleset π :
(Explained from left to right)Super Sneak - All melee attackers have sneak ability .
Lost Legendaries - Legendary monsters may not be used in battles.
Mana - 56
Splinters Allowed - Earth, Life (Star icon) and Death (skull icon)
π Thought process π
- Frankly there wasn't much thinking invloved here. I had rented Higher level General Sloan for fun along with some others cards and Supply Runner at level 5 is a better showcase at level 5 than at level 1 so I was just spamming my General Sloan deck for a while.
βοΈ Battle βοΈ
Round 1
I was able to kill enemy Taunt monster easily in first round.
My Shielbearer took some beating but it's likely going to survive another round.
Enemy healer and Regal Peryton are the key to win.
Round 2
Enemy tank died even with the healer. This was possible because of Supply Runner's Speed buff.
My Shielbearer barely survived this round with 1 health.
At this point Battle is 50-50.
Round 3
My First, Second and third place monsters get rekt this round.
Regal Peryton dodged back to back attacks from my damage dealers.
If Peryton does not die next round I lose.
Round 4
Thankfull Peryton died in first two shots.
Now victory is in our hands boys!.
Next round I should win easily.

Cards Used with explanations :
(Battle is from Silver 2 league)
At first place we have Shieldbearer. With General Sloan this is the preferred Tank because of it's Taunt ability. Taunt ability protects the Squishy Damage dealers from any backline attack from enemy.
In second place we have Truthspeaker with Protect ability which gives Two armor to all friendly monsters. Paired with Armorsmith I will have armor repair for majority of the game.
At third place I have Armorsmith which has Armor Repair ability. I used it because of it's great synergy with Truthspeaker and Shieldbearer. In case enemy went Heavy Melee and Archery damage, Armor Repair is a life saver.
At fourth position I placed Venari Crystalsmith. It is an reward card and personally I think this is one of the best rewards card. This card has a Tank heal ability and it doesn't cost much mana to use. Main reason for using this is for saving my only tank, Shieldbearer. As it's a Ranged attacker it also get's General Sloan's +1 Archery damage buff.
At fifth place we have our main damage dealer Pelacor Arbalest. This card probably has the best synergy with General Sloan. This card has Double strike ability which as the name suggests allows it to attack two times in same round. With General Sloan this card puts out 6 damage per down which is lot at lower leagues.
In last position we have our star π of the show Supply Runner. One of the problems with this General Sloan deck is slow speed of damage dealers. Supply Runner with it's Swiftness ability helps to overcome this handicap a bit.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yep it did work out but this line up was forced by me. As I had higher level cards I was able to win. Next time I would use a monster with Silence ability to nerf enemy magic damage.
Do you like the (monster)? Why or why not?
Without It's Swiftness ability it's difficult to include this card in any composition because there are better Archers available for less mana cost and better stats. Though beyond level 5 this card is a great addition to your composition. Speed is one of the most crucial thing in a battle. If you have higher speed your monsters attacks first unless Ruleset is Slow speed so this makes Swiftness ability one of the most powerful ability in the game. Also Supply Runner is a neutral card so you can use it with any available splinter.
