Weekly Battle Challenge : Scavo Firebolt π―
Introduction
Hello guys welcome to my blog. This week's battle challenge theme is Scavo Firebolt. Scavo Firebolt is a Rare Fire monster. It does archery π― damage. It gets knock out ability at level 6. At my league people generally use Fire splinter when they wanna go heavy melee because with Tarsa summoner, Fire has a great melee monsters. Scavo Firebolt is a viable option in little league and slow speed rulesets. Stats for Scavo Firebolt are below π. In case you wanna read the Lore of Scavo Firebolt here's the Link
Here are Level 1 stats of Scavo Firebolt -
Mana Cost - 4
Health β€οΈ - 4
Speed π - 2
Armor π‘οΈ - Nill
Damage πΉ - 2 Archery Damage
Ability - Knockout (Does double damage when attacking an enemy that is stunned)
Stats at other levels are follows :
πΈ Current Market Stats πΈ
As of writing Price/BCX vary from $0.12 to $0.23.This card is included in starter card set so there is a probability that price of this card increases once Starter cards stop giving rewards. I personally do not expect price of this card to change very much but you never know. If you wanna check yourself here's the in-game Market Link.
Anyways Let's get into the battle. Here's the line up :
Summoners Used :
Ruleset π :
(Explained from left to right)Little league - Monster with greater than 4 mana can not be used in battle .
Mana - 20
Splinters Allowed - Fire, Earth, Life (Star icon), Death (skull icon) and Dragon.
π Thought process π
- Fire - Fire has very good set of little League Monsters but these monsters are generally archery and melee focused. In little league people generally go for magic damage as there are very few counter to magic in this Ruleset. But Fire team has Venari Heatsmith which has 2 magic Armor so it can tank at least 2 shots of magic. I could fit a good melee and archery damage in this Ruleset with Fire so I went with Fire Summoner Tarsa.
βοΈ Battle βοΈ
Round 1
Opponent went with Life team and my Serpentine Spy attacked Truthspeaker first as it had the lowest health.
Venari Heatsmith took a few shots and it's down to 1 health.
Scavo Firebolt and Magma were my focused damage on enemy frontline while serpentine spy would clear out the back.
My scorch fiend died but it did job of tanking a hit from enemy sneak attacker
Round 2
My Venari Heatsmith died and Magma came to first position. It managed to survive 2nd round.
Enemy Truthspeaker died so now enemy is very vulnerable to opportunity attacks.
I have Ant miner at third place which has scavenger ability which increases it's health by 1 whenever any monster dies.
Next round I should be able to kill a few monsters.
Round 3
Total 3 monsters' died in this round and as a result of that my Ant miner has scavenged 5 health until now.
Scavo Firebolt has consistently done damage without missing.
At this point enemy doesn't have enough damage to kill my Ant miner. I am pretty confident that I am going to win the match.
Round 4
- Enemy is down to last monster which is a Archery type and it can not attack from the first position. So victory is ours.

Cards Used with explanations :
(Battle is from Silver 2 league)
In first place I have Venari Heatsmith. Magic Armor is a rare sight at level 1. For 2 mana you get 4 health points against magic damage. It's main purpose was to take couple of hits so my backline could do it's job.
In second place we have Magma Troll. This card has reach so it can attack from second position. With Tarsa's attack and health buff this card is decent for 4 mana. With Scavo Firebolt it's job was to hit enemy tank.
At third place I have Ant Minersπ. This card is very good. Scavenge ability for 3 mana and in a little league Ruleset this card can get to really high HP. This card was going to be my main tank. I placed it third place because I wanted it to scavenge some health before it gets to first place.
At fourth position we have Serpentine spy. This is one of the most used fire monster in lower league. There aren't many opportunity attackers at bronze. For 3 mana with Tarsa's buff it has 3 melee attack and that's a lot of damage in lower leagues. In the little league Ruleset this card can get rid of one card per turn.
At fifth place we have our Themed monster Scavo Firebolt. I used it for it's two Archery damage and it's health. It could easily tank 3-4 hits in little league Ruleset so that means it will do 6-8 damage before dying off. There are other archery options in Fire team but most of them are squishy but they have high speed. If you are unlucky there is a possibility that they don't dodge die in the first round.
In last position I placed a Scorch Fiend . This is a zero mana card so you can basically fit this into any comp irrespective of mana limit. In low mana matches 0 mana cards are very useful. They can do the job of soft tank fairly well.
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
Yep it did work out fine this time. Well that will depend on Ruleset
Do you like the (monster)? Why or why not?
Overall this is a balanced card. Plus points are it's damage and health while speed is it's negative point. It get's Knock out ability at level 6 which if I remember correctly you need to be in gold league to use that. I haven't played in Gold league so I can not say much on that front.
