My very first blog!! Learning how to draw 😃

in #splinterlands3 years ago (edited)
Hello hiver's, im Damonz member of splinterlands Kaizen[PH] guild lead by master @pogier💪. My cousin as well as fellow member in the guild @eustace-kidd encourage me to do blogging here at peakd. Inspired by his art's and didn't have any talent in drawing, i ask him to teach me how to draw. He told me to start in tracing, so i picked the earth monster Rexxie because it has less details 😅.

So here where i start, I started by tracing the outlines as what he has told me to do. It's quite easy i say 😏.

Next, i put a base color on it. I choose green so that it would be easy to put the details on it. And that's what i thought.

Next is coloring, i just copy its original color using color picker.

The next step is highlights and shadowing, and that's what gives me stress although i just copied it 😅.

And then putting a background, my cousin told me to make tree's for it's background but it's giving me a hard time and my imagination doesn't work. So i just copied it's background in the card 😆. And here's the final output.

And that's it, next time im gonna do a more detailed one. It would be my pleasure if someone give me some tip's for me to learn. Thank you!

Hello, @damonz! This is @anggreklestari from @OCD team. We saw that you already posted your first post here in Hive Blockchain! Congratulations and welcome! However, it would be awesome if you do an introduction post. As a sample of what an intro post is, you can refer to this intro post for reference:

Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community

There's no specific format on how you do your intro post, but there is some suggested content that we would love to see in your post. Information like who are you and where you're from, how did you discover Hive or who invited you, what types of content you want to see here and the types that you want to produce, and what are your expectations in this platform. There's no pressure on this. You can choose whatever information you would like to share.

You can tag me @anggreklestari on your intro post then if you have done with it.

Well, you can explore the communities that are suitable for your content. You can read some of the communities in this post: OCD Communities Incubation Program

For tips and information as a Hive newbie, click here: newbie guide.

The important thing is Hive is a bit different from other social media platforms since you are monetizing your blog. You can't include content that you don't own without sources. For more information, check this post: Why and How People Abuse and Plagiarise.

If you have questions, you can hop into OCD's Discord server and we'll gladly answer your questions. For now, @lovesniper will follow you and we are looking forward to your intro post!

Pretty good for your first time trying out some art. Posting here on Hive will definitely help you get some rewards to either grow your account or spend on more Splinterlands stuff. I think i would recommend getting more creative and trying to make it more original. But for your first attempt, tracing is a good way to get the skills up to be able to make your own art. I think you did pretty good on the color job. So, keep up the effort and your quality will increase in time.

To help support your success and to help you from making any mistakes here on the platform... i wanted to share two posts i made to help newer users do well here on Hive.

Please check those out when you get some time and make sure NOT to do the things in there it warns against doing. I think this will increase your chances of support moving forward and accelerate your growth as well!

Yes i will, i have read the two link's thank you.

Awesome! I hope they help you figure things out and navigate Hive to great success!

Thanks for sharing! - castleberry#6859
