Creating Set Rentals in Splinterlands

Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.

In Splinterlands, now we can create the list for seasonal rentals. That means instead of creating rent for individual cards, you can create a list and give it for rent for the whole season. This is actually great to be honest, because now managing the Rentals becomes so much easy. As of today there is only one template I.e. chaos legion plus the reward cards available to list.

We can access the Set Rentals from the Market section.

When you go to the set rentals, it will directly go to the Rent section. For me I have gone to Create section where you can actually create the rentals by 1 click.

Using this your whole set of 136 cards can be rented out as a package, where people can actually rent it from the rent section. Now coming to the Rent section. Here we cab rent out the entire set of cards from the available listing.

I don't have enough DEC in the game, so that's why it is grayed out but basically if you want to rent the entire set you can click the rent button and based on the listing price it will deduct it from your available balance.

When you rent it, it will rent for the entire season, but if there is less that 7 days remaining for the season, then it will rent till the last season. But although it's upto you, if you want to keep it for the whole season or not.

Looking at the price, it looks like a great advantage for both buyers and sellers too as well as from the easiness point of view. As a seller, I just have to create a rental set and set the price, thus no need to do extra work. In case of buyer, we just have to click on rent and thus it will start renting all the cards from the Day and the equivalent DEC or Credit will be deducted from the holdings.

The only catch here is that the seller should have all the cards in his item list. In my case I have only 43 cards out of 136 cards, so I cannot create the rentals, but if I would have all the cards and I am not playing then it's best to just rent out all the cards as a set. But if I have to use all the cards, then hopefully it's great for me to just rent out as a set rather than renting one card at a time.
