RE: A sad realization about Splinterlands Hive Resource Extraction :(

I think you may have missed what I was saying, apologies for that.

There's nothing wrong with taking profits and funds from HIVE.

But if someone shows up, extracts 100% of what they earn from day one, for over two years... why should they continue to receive Upvotes from projects?

Unless the Projects were "paying" them for work... which is fine! Just like if someone said "Hey Dingus, please write about... "X" and I will upvote your content when you post it".

But the whole point was - the people aren't the problem, there is a "flaw" in the Contest and it needs to be addressed.

There should be some guidelines to help new people understand and encourage them to make it grow... even if they were staking 10-20%... over 2 Years... these guys would have hundreds of thousands of HIVE and be able to Upvote others, help other artists enter... etc.

You sound frustrated and I don't blame you, it has definitely been frustrating watching asset values plummet for so long... I am still hopeful though...

Here's to 2025 and hopefully some relief!

Ow i fully understand your standpoint thx for the clarification, indeed there is a huge flaw there, the ability to just extract only is bad, but what we attract or where trying to attract are mostly people who need funds not those who own funds. And then with these issues poppin up left and right. Also giving the whales all this power doesnt seem to work out as well, changes will hurt them so they have no intention to even speak about it. But some posts with over 100 hive as payout and have no real value should be downvoted, then again they wont as they will not shoot each others foot.

I understand that point too and yes, some posts get major upvotes... because... #reasons
