RE: A sad realization about Splinterlands Hive Resource Extraction :(

Please make no mistake: my fiancee' is/was an artist (Art major in College, wanted to teach).

I understand/respect what you and others do and fully believe the onus is on us, the community to thoroughly communicate expectations as both Contest Providers and HIVE Community Members.

I believe Artists absolutely should be compensated for their work but it can also be frustrating to see hundreds, if not thousands of $USD, in HIVE moved off to Binance each week with ZERO PERCENT being powered up.

To me that means they don't know or don't care about Hive. Which is fine... But if you don't know/care about Hive and don't play Splinterlands... well... I think that means you should get diminishing returns on each subsequent win.

I don't believe anyone should be forced into putting any "set" amount into Hive to continue to receive Rewards... but to see someone, of their own volition and understanding say "You know, I like this network... this community... maybe I should stake 10%? 20%? 50%? Of my Rewards... so then I can vote on others... and have a positive impact on them!

To do otherwise, seems selfish.

That's just my opinion though.

Cheers! Have a blessed day :)

I can see that and totally agree! i had no idea they were just cashing out the prizes. While 100% allowed and in the rules. it does "sting a bit".

don't worry... if i ever won won... it would never be sold... lol. i am a total collector. lol.

i love this community and im sure it can gain so much traction... for that we all need to engage, and chat rather than just posting to try and get rewards to sell.

I'm here for the long haul :-)

Thanks for the chat
