Good morning fellow Hivers and Splinterfriends!
It's been awhile since I have posted an update on my journey. As 2024 comes to a close, we can definitely say it has been one hell of a year!
Not the GIF I was expecting to see... but I couldn't NOT use it... I mean... it so accurately depicts 2024 lol
My last update was 11/13/24 so about 6 weeks has passed and a lot has happened!

I hope your Holiday season is going well and you are able to enjoy it in whichever manner you celebrate!
Today though, we shall compare where we are now versus where we were and my plans for 2025!
Splinterlands is what drew me to Hive and with the DHF Proposal I realized the symbiotic nature of the relationship Splinterlands and Hive has (or should have) with each other.
Now, don't get me wrong - many people just want to play Splinterlands. Nothing wrong with that, it's a game and games should be played!
But... for the part of the community who is invested in Splinterlands... we want to see it do WELL... and that's where we need to not only look TO Hive for support... but we should also look TO support Hive!
Once I realized that, I began aggressively accumulating Hive and powering it up (Staking).
With that being said, pulling the data from the linked article... I had accumulated 548,894 SPS Tokens...
Again that was roughly 6 weeks agon on 11/13/2024... so in six weeks, with all the crazy ups and downs life has to offer I have accumulated a total of... wait for it... get reaaaaaaaaaaady...
With 601k SPS, that means I managed to rack up about 52,000 SPS in 6 weeks! Now there are a lot of ways to earn SPS in Splinterlands and I used a variety of these methods to increase my Splintershards holdings.
It looks like I'll be entering 2025 about 60% of the way to my goal of 1,000,000 SPS and at the rate of 50k/6 weeks... by the end of 2025 I could reach my goal!!
My other goal is to hit 10,000 HP. That's not nearly as hard as the 1,000,000 SPS but my ways of earning it are quite different.
To get HP I only have a few methods:
- Peakd articles - I try to write helpful and insightful articles for the Splinterlands and Soulkeep games. I also have a goal of introducing new members to the Peak'd community in 2025!
I use my Author Rewards to add to my HP. If I don't believe in this Blockchain, why should anyone believe in me?
- Peak'd Voting and Delegation Rewards - while not a HUGE source of HP... every little bit helps!
When I am on here, I try to upvote creators that produce good content! I have also noticed an interesting trend but I'll probe more into that later.
These rewards also end up as HP but sometimes I get a little HBD which gets converted to Hive before being staked lol
FIAT - if I am to invest in Crypto, this Blockchain should definitely be on the list... there is so much potential here.... why not set aside a percentage of investment for that?
Conversion of Play2Earn tokens - I always have the option to take some of the tokens I earned and swap them for Hive to power up!
I was hoping to hit the 10,000 HP mark before 2025 so lets see how close we are!!
It looks like I managed to add 1,612 HP over the last 6 weeks and with it being 12/27/2024, I believe I can scrounge up the final 29 Hive Power somewhere in the next 5 days... 😄
So... I am at 60% of my SPS goal and have hit my first major Hive Power milestone... what are my goals for 2025?
- SPS to 1M!!!
- HP to 25k!!
- Stack Hive:SPS and SPS:DEC LP balances
- Introduce people to Hive through Peak'd and Splinterlands
- Educate them to the ecosystems so they don't get absolutely REKT in the FOMO
