Good afternoon Soulkeepers!
I wanted to take a quick moment to point out several bugs that, to my knowledge, have not been fixed just yet.
The Voodoo Sapper is a big part of the current Meta Game but there is still an ongoing issue where upgrading this tower in the wrong order can have negative effects on your game!!
If you upgrade the Fire Rate FIRST, you are fine (That's the Green Upgrade for 50 mana)
If you upgrade the Damage FIRST... (the Red Upgrade for 110 Mana)... and THEN do the Speed Upgrade... it resets your damage output back to the BASE LEVEL!!
IF YOU WANT TO UPGRADE THE SPEED ON THESE TOWERS... DO IT FIRST!!
Bonus: The second and third speed upgrades are only TWO PERCENT... They are a WASTE OF MANA!!! (imo)
The Green Upgrade for Shock Therapy says it will increase the Chain Damage from 5 to 20 Targets! For 150 Mana, that would be AWESOME... unfortunately... it does NOT do this, from what I have seen.
That's it for today, just wanted to share these two bugs with you guys.
These can be make or break when it comes to clearing a level or maximizing your score!!
Do NOT upgrade the Voodoo Sapper in the wrong order and for now, don't waste your Mana on the Shock Tower "Chain Multiplier" upgrade!!

Shock therapy hits 4 targets, every upgrade increase by 1 (so 5,6,7,8,9)
That's not what is supposed to happen though.
As you can see from this screencap, the Chain Max Targets is 4 for an un-upgraded Shock Therapy.
Click on the Green Upgrade button for 150 Mana and we see an increase of 400%...
Clicking on the "i" again we see the new Chain Max is "20" but I have not seen this to take effect!
Other people have, but I have not... will test and see if I can get an update on this for the people :P

I think is a display bug, I'm working on API and the idea I got is that you start with 4 max chains and then increase by 1 for each upgrade, and it would also make sense
these are 5 upgrades
level 1 = 150 mana for maxTargets and a value of 5
level 2 = a value of 6
I get what you are saying - but I am not that savvy to pull api data (dm in Discord if you want to share how I could pull that)
So I can only go off what the game tells me... as would every other player...
When the game states that the upgrade now has a max of 20... but does not in fact have a max of 20 lol... well you can see the issue :P
Oh wait... so if you never upgrade the speed on Voodoo Sapper, the damage upgrades will work fine? I always upgrade speed first just because I thought I had to. Then I never upgrade the damage again because I'm concerned it will reset it to base if I don't do the speed again first. Either way, it's disappointing that the team can't even replicate this issue. Knowing that, it seems like it's destined to be this way for a while.

Yes - if you update the Speed 1st, you're fine.
If you do Spd, Atk, Atk, Spd... RESET.
If you do Atk Spd... RESET
After the first Speed bump, the second and third are not worth it.
2 Seconds -> 1.8 Seconds (-10%)
1.8 -> 1.764 s (-2%)
1.764 -> 1.729 s (-2%)
I just typically upgrade the damage, for a better "alpha strike" trying to 1-Shot enemies :P
OMG I seriously feel foolish now that I've been upgrading the speed so much. I just played and upgraded only the attack 3 times and it's so much better. I think it would be cool if they added guilds for Soulkeep like they have in Splinterlands. Then people could help each other out. I'd join one and donate some of my SPS earnings to it or whatever made it worthwhile.
I asked ChatGPT to make an image of "Voodoo Sapper" and look what it made. It's pretty badass! haha. I didn't give it any prompts on what it should look like. Only the words "voodoo sapper" and it made glowing eyes kinda like the card.
