This week's battle challenge is the CRUEL SETHROPOD! The GARGOYA SCRAPPER is a life melee from the Chaos Legion set that has void at level three and with just one mana cost is a sweet filler.
About the card:
So, about the card. Before I talk about the void at level 3, I’d like to talk about the mana cost, 1. One thing I like about little league cards is they can be filler. Like you’re short a couple of mana and put a three to make it whole. But 1? You can always use it when you need to fill a one or two. With new reward system it would be much better if you use gold version of it. The best part is, new reward system doesn’t care if the gold card is a legendary, summoner (most expensive) or a common (cheapest). So using gold common cards to fill the mana would be smart. Enough about the mana cost, about other stats: at max level, two attacks, three speed, three lives and void. Not much to discuss. I would love to discuss more, but really nothing Uncommon😉
when to use this card?
Equalizer, fog of war (for distracting opportunity monsters' attack), little league, melee mayhem, rise of the common, or whenever you wanted to fill the mana.

So, before I talk about the battle, let's see why these monsters and no this time it's my personal account and rented whatever I needed or wanted.
Summoner:
weekly challenge was a life common monster, so I had to use a life summoner or dragon. this one was the cheapest to rent, but, the ruleset is melee mayhem too. more shields is always a good thing to have.
First tank:
with only 14 mana to fill, not a lot of option is available, but six lives at the front? I'll take it. plus magic and fly.
second tank:
Low mana battles are mostly little league magic cards with the buff of the summoner or sneak attack monsters. so it can be a good choice, but remember support monsters are good as long as you have enough attack.
third monster:
Again the ruleset is melee mayhem, he can attack from anywhere, plus in little league battles speed is an important factor. Because everybody has low lives, so whoever attack first wins. not to mention miss.
force(😉) monster:
Star of the week, our one and only GARGOYA SCRAPPER. with 14 mana, I managed to put 4 monsters to attack the front, one to support and one to buy time. you know how? 1 mana cost monsters. Thanks to GARGOYA SCRAPPER and creeping ooz, it worked. I was worried that he is going to use shield ability and my one attack would do nothing, but I got lucky.
fifth(one to the last?) monster:
I just love this guy. not for two mana cost, for flying ability. whenever I'm going to use life and I'm short one or two mana, I put her at back for sneak monsters to miss. in this ruleset? she just fits right in.
Last but not least:
Of course, no matter the ruleset you should always, ALWAYS have a magic on your team. The reason is obvious. bypassing shield. one attack can be neutralized with void, but best I could do, with two mana and the cards I rented. beside the choice of cards, I love his art card. he looks like an arrogant prince. Thanks and congratulation to the folks at splinterlands.
So the battle was a success. I'm watching the battle again as I write this sentence. The enemy had two attack, which both were sneak. At first round he just managed to scratch the shield of my last monster. However at the second round, they killed him and went for harpy, the blue beautiful and thanks to the flying ability, one miss and we won!
