Venari Spellsmith a Sorcerer Supreme!

Hi guys, today we will take a closer look at Sorcerer Supreme or Venari Spellsmith. One of those cards that you don't see that often and which doesn't draw attention to itself. So let's take a closer look at Venari Spellsmith and let me show you why this card is really amazing and when to use it.

Venari Spellsmith is a Neutral Splinter monster which means you can use him in almost every game. Most people use him because of his Amplify ability which is amazing but I don't like him because of that. There are some way better monsters with Amplify like Weirding Warrior that cost less mana than Venari Spellsmith. On the other hand, Venari Spellsmith is a Neutral monster so that is a big plus.

Why do I love Venari Spellsmith?

I like this monster because of his Dispel ability. You may be surprised by that but the Dispel ability is really strong and I like to use it against monsters with Enrage. I often use him against monsters like Diemonshark or Djinn Chwala as it will remove a positive buff from that monster, in this case, Enrage ability.

I like him the most at level 6 or in the Gold league where he has 2 magic damage and when paired with Obsidian for that extra magic damage.

Venari Spellsmith competitors

As a replacement for Venari Spellsmith, I like Spirit Hoarder which also has Dispel ability but also Triage and Blind. The only downside of Spirit Hoarder is that he gets 2 magic attack at MAX level so if you are in need of more damage Venari Spelsmith could be a better choice. You will probably use Venari Spellsmith in Earth Splinter as Goblin Psychic gets Dispel on the highest level or with Fire Spinter as that Splinter does not have other cheap Dispel option.

Failed Summoner - was picked as a body that will give my magic monsters time to attack the enemy monsters. I like him because of his decent health pool and Magic Reflect ability which was not been useful in this game.

Regal Peryton - I like this card because of its high speed and Flying ability. It often dodges enemy attacks and that's why I like to position it in the first spot or in the last spot. When I place this card in the first spot I often play Mycelic Slipspawn in the last spot. That way I will often split the damage between those two monsters so both of them will stay longer on the field.

Venari Spellsmith - I already talked about this monster. I used him as a magic damage monster that will be buffed by Obsidian. Great cards with the Dispel ability that was not useful in this game.

Khmer Princess - another amazing Earth splinter monster that is very expensive. It works great with Obsidian so you can get 2 magic damage for only 2 mana. It gets even better on higher levels with Tank Heal and Triage abilities. I often use this card when I am low on mana and I need to squeeze in some additional damage.

Xenith Archer - same situation as with Khmer Princess, this cheap card is here to fill the spot with some additional damage. I used ranged monster as I was out of cheap magic monsters. It didn't do much damage but still, a very good card, even more on higher levels.

Summary

Overall Venari Spellsmith is an amazing card that I like more and more with each new battle. Dispel ability is really good and I like to use it against Water and Dragon teams as well as in Enrage rulesets. That is where this card really shines. Amplify is also amazing but it seems there are better monsters with the Amplify ability. A really good card that you should have in your deck. At this time maybe it is not the best time to buy this card as it is expensive. I will wait a bit for the price to drop again.
