How to beat the Zintar deck in bronze!

in #splinterlands3 years ago

If you have been playing Splinterlands lately you probably have struggled a lot with Zintars starter deck, it's just too strong for only ghost cards.

Zintar's deck is hard but not unbeatable, and I have some success fighting against it with my Mylor Crowling deck (another strong starter deck).

Mylor thorn ability is awesome in early leagues because most of the monsters are melee, so it's pretty effective in the bronze tier.

For the front line we want the Stone golem, which cost only 5 mana and it is really effective in low mana battles. Besides it has the block ability, reducing the income damage from melee and ranged attacks, letting him survive long enough for our thorns to do a lot of damage.

We can use the Unicorn Mustang if we are afraid of the magic damage, but the Death Elemental only does 1 magic damage, so we are safe with the Stone Golem, but bear in mind that the Unicorn Mustang does 4 damage each turn, maybe in games with high mana cap can be used.

You will also want to put the Earth Elemental, that with just 3 mana it has 6 HP and will tank your backline from the sneak attackers. Besides it have a ranged attack that will help to dig through the Haunted Spirit Healing.

After that, you can spend the remaining mana in a character with reach or some ranged attack, but the thorns will do the same damage as the healing of the Haunted Spirit, and the golem will receive just one damage, so it should match the haunted spirit.

Furious chicken is a great splinter to place here also, it will kill any melee attacker with its thorns and will have no cost for you.
