Splinterforge strategy pt. 3

in #splinterforgelast year

Equipping your heroes with the right gear is crucial to success. Whether the monster's ability defends against melee, ranged, or magic attacks, you have to equip your hero to combat that. The good news is that you can choose what your hero is before each battle. Your hero is not fixed. It's good to have a wide range of good equipment so that you can fight off any number of monster types, but it's okay if you just fill out one build instead. We all have to make due with what we have.

I like to focus on a magic build because it's more consistent. The less you miss, the more consistent your scoring is. It seems like I mostly do good against monsters who have some kind of resistance to physical attacks. That makes me think that players who use melee or ranged generally do more damage, but it's a little less consistent and obviously prone to being blocked by a physical resistance.

Using different slots to increase your character's attack and health will help a lot. If your hero is wearing good gear, it will be better than almost any other card you could use. That's a big advantage because the most cards you can even use is 7 on bronze monsters. That's a boost of at least 10%. Don't neglect building up your hero and using them for a good loadout!
