RE: Way-point | Updates: DLUX SPK HIVE

Thank you very much for all this. I'm extremely interested in all this.

Are you running this on physical hardware at home or something? That is what I would like to do. If that is the case, could a single machine run all the things, like Witness, SPK node and whatnot?

What about the backup? Does that need to be off site?

What does it mean to "be able to stream getBlock requests to Honeycomb and HiveEngine nodes to help our layer 2 resiliency"?

Sorry for all the questions and I know your time is limited. This is just amazing stuff and I want to be helpful.

The Hive Witness I have a dedicated server. It's 4TB with 64GB of RAM. The SPK node I also run on a VPS, but often run on my laptop for testing. You'll probably need 10GB + 1 GB RAM to run it comfortably. These smaller nodes read the Hive block chain one block at a time. The more nodes reading blocks at a time, the harder the Hive witnesses have to work to deliver them, that's what getBlock means.

Very interesting. Thank you very much.
