RE: Surviving Life as an Empath

Thanks Macey.

With your point about sexual partners, I think that's a really important clue as to how fragile that energy can be. Some even say that once you bond with someone sexually, that bond lasts forever.

I remember once when a friend of mine came up and slept in my spare room for a weekend. When she left, I was looking at myself in the mirror and startled by my own thoughts saying "Why am I single? What's wrong with me?" which isn't a normal thought pattern for me. It was something she'd left behind. Fortunately in that case it went away almost as soon as I acknowledged it.

I like what you said about permitting yourself to feel things whenever you like. I think that's important, not just for empaths, because what you resist, persists. Allowing your emotions can always help you overcome them, and by being more present and more peaceful, we also provide a calming, healing presence to those around us.

By the way, I noticed you only put three tags on your post. I believe the maximum is still 5, and it gives people more of an opportunity to see you if you use all of them. Even the "video" or "youtube" tags might be appropriate.

Hope you're well.

Thank you for the info!! I'll add some more tags. Still playing around with that.

As for sexual partners, I totally agree. The bond will always be there, and the more sensitive you become, the more you can feel them when they are thinking about you. It's important, then to learn how to cut cords, but I'll post about that when I've mastered that art. I'm nowhere near lol
