When the Ego Dies: Experience of Spiritual Growing Pain

Spirituality

Spirituality is all about learning how to evolve beyond your current state of being, opening up to the unknown and taking a dive in the deep waters of the soul.
It's all about expanding your consciousness and enjoying life from a different more blissful state.

The Ego

is something that blocks us all from developing. It is a structure created from exposure to the mainstream of society. It's a defensive mechanism that we create to better deal with life and its there because we made life the way it is.

When a person is born he doesn't have ego and he enjoys life to the fullest. If you can remember moments from your childhood, how you felt, how your emotions were clean and life flowed like bliss, well that's what spirituality is all about. Cleaning yourself so you can enjoy life the way you used to as a child. Free and unconditional.

Some people know only their ego's. They take on the role of the ego and place a mask on their natural self, which is long buried under societys junk.

Cleaning ourselves from that junk and our egos, refines our emotions and turns them to pure ecstasy, making life as if we were on heave.

Spiritual Pain

is something everyone goes through when on the path of self development. We have lived with our egos since a long long time and as we rip it off we see that there is nothing mature under it. So we need to start building again a structure that can support our clairsentient lifestyle.

The more we take off the more we find it harder to adapt in social conditions because we start loving more and with our emotions cleared we start to feel others more deeply, sometimes without them even saying anything.

People start to hurt us only by standing with negativity next to us as we pick up on it as if it radiated our existence.

The Unknown

The more we clean ourselves from our egoic mindset the more we start to unravel the mysteries of life and the more we appreciate everything that life throws at us, even the hardest of moments make you feel alive and kicking, providing you a challenge to grow from.

Life is a Blessing, but some decide to make it a curse

Spirituality is all about ONEness. No such thing as a conflict between The Spiritual Self and The Ego. That's just not what Spirituality is.

The Ego is to be seen as a Child that has to be educated by our Spiritual Self, The Father, and our Emotional Self, The Mother.
It's not to treated as bad, negative and something to get rid off. Instead, is something to be grown as a little Child.

Nice post @Vangelov! Thanks for sharing :)

Your perspective is great too.. I was referring to the overall image we create for ourselves looking at society s reflection. Otherwise you are correct. We may never get rid of our ego as it is the anchor to those existence, yet it can be refined to match our innermost pure self.

Thanks for the feedback :)

I've managed to get my ego on a short rope...but, it's flailing and kicking and not going down easy:)....It's my greatest nemesis.

Yeah sometimes it kicks back in but in the long run if you are determined it will mellow down to equanimity

Good post! I like your thoughts)
Understanding as it is difficult to master the EGO I refuse addictions and in general any dependence.
I want to live freely and not to depend on anything.
But... I have a dependence. It is the Internet. It is new information. I can't without it. I tried to leave and not to come into network some time. Doesn't leave. I believe that I have the right to dependence. And the EGO won't disappear. It is necessary just to remember it.

There is nothing bad about using the Internet, it is a source to learn from. Just balance it with real life. :)

With balance I always had problems) I since the childhood liked to play games on a prefix, and then on the computer.
I already almost don't play and I am engaged in absorption of new information.
I don't need cigarettes, alcohol or a grass. Sometimes it seems to me that I could do also without food and water. I can't stop.
