I wanted to share something with my fellow Steemians, something that really changed my life. The day I started listening to my intuition.

When I started listening to my intuition I found every answer that I was looking for.
In place of anxiety, stress, fear and worry, came peace, love and trust in the overall process of life. I'll definitely say that this is a much better place to be in.
So how did I get there?
I turned my attention and awareness inwards towards my internal compass - my soul was indeed my pilot. It was my spiritual guide, my intuition. From my own intuition, I managed to ask the searching questions to life like 'what is my purpose?' and 'why am I here?'
This led to deep healing within myself and powerful synchronicities being setup in my life. Somethings started to happen that I could not believe. I would enter a clothes shop for example, and my perfect size would be sitting there waiting for me.
What is intuition anyway?
Intuition is your own inner voice - the voice of your soul. It is your secret advisor that you can turn to anytime of day or night. It can lead you to become the highest person that you can possibly be. Your inner soul knows exactly what is best for you and it can help make all your dreams come true. Your intuition will guide you to the right people and to the right situations in life.
Your intuition as a compass will always guide you to the next best step for you. This will work for you every time. Your intuition will end up becoming your best friend, and is a constant and secure partner for life.
But how does my intuition work?
Your intuition works in a number of ways. Most of us have a gut feeling and others use 'Blind Reading' cards (including myself). Do you ever get that feeling that you know something without knowing why? That is your intuition speaking. Intuition may also come to us in dreams, ideas or mental pictures in our minds.
Remember that thoughts of intuition are always loving. Your intuition will never transmit a negative thought - only the ego of the mind will do that. Remember that your soul is made up of pure love, therefore you are in a way speaking the language of love. Know this and you'll never go wrong. Always do the best you can to hear the voice of your intuition over the voice of your ego.

Great post @mindhunter. I definitely believe that my intuition is my soul speaking and I find out rather quickly that I'm on the wrong track when my stubborn streak doesn't listen to the inner voice. LOL Here's another one that I firmly believe because I'm living proof: Every sincere prayer that I have ever sent out to the universe has been answered. I've also learned that those sincere prayers need to be very specific because the universe has a sense of humor that often feels like a kick in the nuts. LOL
The ever stubborn ego eh! The secret is NOT to suppress it, just have an awareness of it, and it'll quieten down over time as your intuition becomes stronger :)
Yup. It took years to learn that lesson. Sometimes we need gentle reminders of that. :)

I appreciate this post and the general movement toward understanding that how we feel is our indicator of how closely we are aligned with our soul/higher self.
As you said, @mindhunter , when we're feeling and flowing love, we have the clarity to make the best decisions for ourselves because we are able to access the infinite knowledge of our soul/higher self. That's where those voices of inspiration and ease come from.
On the other hand, if we're experiencing fear-based emotions, our decision making is limited because we're not allowing ourselves access to our intuition/higher self/soul.
Physiologically, when we're in a state of fear, we lose access to our frontal lobe, which is the part of the brain that we use to think, speak, plan, and make decisions. So, for anyone shy of the concepts of soul/higher self, now you have neuroscience to validate the quest for consistently feeling good. :)

Although I'm generally very practical and pragmatic, when I'm with clients, I need to be open to that intuition. Whether we're discussing how they can eat better, doing some EFT for emotional stuff or doing some kinesiology, if I was only to rely on my logical brain, a lot would be missed. Oddly, I find it much easier to get into that zone for another person than for myself...

It is higher logic.
The highest truth is unutterable, and can only be felt / experienced to be known.

i don't know for certain what i think about it, but every time i don't listen to it, things tend to go very poorly. it has saved my life, repeatedly.
