Haircuts for the Homeless (100% Proceeds of this post go to @hopebank)

Sometimes it is the little things that make a difference.
How do you think it might feel for a homeless person whose hair and beard is unruly, dirty and messy to be offered a free haircut?

This post is raising SP for the @hopebank, with 100% of the rewards going to this account.

It would make them feel wonderful, even though it might only be for a little while, it would make their day, maybe even give them a little hope back, where there was none.

  • How To Mine Crypto Using The Power of the Sun.
Being Eco-friendly is a challenge in the world we live in, especially if you're into crypto. Luckily I know someone who has a solution to this ever-growing dilemma.

  • Building A House That Doesn't Cost You Anything .....Part II
Looking out the window of a house that cost you nothing to build has got to be an amazing feeling. The man that built this house is an absolute genius! He has been happily living in his cozy home for over ten years now, a house that cost him next to nothing to build because he used what the land provided.

  • Day 50 of 5 Minute Freewrite- Prompt- Snoring
I have missed being a part of the freewrite curriculum for about 10 days. Had an extremely busy routine, plus due to some unsafe situations in the country, schools were closed. No school meant my son stayed home with me which was a lot of fun but that also meant I had to devote more of my time to him and less to my work so I couldn’t make much time for Steemit then.

  • Day 150- Steemit Education Homework- HOW DO YOU MOTIVATE KIDS TO DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY?
This week’s homework by @steemiteducation is quite interesting. While, @steemiteducation never gives us boring homework since its aim is to make learning fun and enjoyable, I loved this week’s question in particular because it highlights a topic I pay quite attention to and one which I have been working on for quite some time now. This week we were supposed to share our views and tactics on how we motivate kids to do something good for the community. Here’s my elaborate answer on the topic. Lol, yeah it has to be elaborate because I cannot write succinct. This is why even my comments aren’t limited to one or two words. Okay, so I’ll just cut back on the unnecessary rambling and get straight to the point.

  • Don't be ashamed of yourself. A loving message to the loving steemit community <3
I've made countless mistakes in my life, oh boy there are so many :D But with time I came to an understanding that they weren't really mistakes. This made me feel even more stupid when I came to a realization that I was ashamed of myself for no apparent reason. Well at least now I can have a laugh at my former stuff.

  • What is the Mer-Ka-Ba? Spirituality said simple.
When I first started learning about spirituality the main point of my interest was this so-called "Mer-Ka-Ba". I started reading about it from a lot of different sources. Also, I really wanted to use this thing and in time I did, but without actually realizing it. So here's a simplified explanation that dims down the complexity of comprehending what this thing is.

  • I've been eating [ILLEGAL] Psilocybin mushrooms for One Month : Here's what happened.
So, I just red an article about the Government banning Psilocybin mushrooms in my country. This happened quite a long time ago but I managed to find an article on this recently. With that said, I've been eating these "Banned" mushrooms for "ONE" month now and I'l make a full detailed review on what they did.

  • Are you asking yourself the right questions ? [Building up a repressed personality.]
I trust that most people trust themselves, either on a conscious or on a subconscious level. That would be quite normal as we spend all of our lives time being with ourselves. But the question is should we trust everything which our mind creates or should we question it and its srouce?

  • The Tradition of Cutting Peat...
There is no blood or killing or knives (just scythes) involved in peat cutting! I found a few photos in the attic, from my childhood and they got me reminiscing about some relatively unique experiences. One being peat cutting. This photo was the view out of my bedroom window and after admiring my beautiful cat who was called Smudge, see that pile of brown stuff?

  • Add Joy to Your Life By Trading 'Stuff' For Experiences
We live in a material society, where the main goal seems to be the accumulation of stuff. We aim to buy the best cars and houses and then of course, we have to fill them with even more stuff. The idea that western society puts into our heads is that more stuff we have, the more happy we will be. But is this really the case? Does having all these material possessions actually make us happy?

  • Are You Living the Life You Want or the One Society Wants?
The Powers That Be, the media, how are they influencing the way you live your life? I wrote a post about meeting strangers on Steemit as a contributor for @adsactly and I loved this comment by @wdougwatson:

  • Gardening to the moon. Growing Moringa trees and sharing with the community.
This post is about gardening and sharing produce with the neighbours. But first I want to tell you this remarkable story. When I was driving to the shop the other day, there was a black bird lying on the road. Birds usually don’t do that so I stopped the car. It was a Smooth-billed Ani. It must have been hit by a car, but it was still alive. So I picked it up and was surprised how extremely light these relative large birds are. I couldn’t see any physical damage. I hoped it would survive and that the poor bird was just knocked about a bit. All his family was hanging around in the bushes nearby. The Anis have very strong family bonds and they are usually seen in groups. The older siblings help raising the younger chicks. You could tell they were hanging around because of the wounded bird.

  • How To Make Aloo Paratha - Indian Flat-Bread Stuffed With Spiced Potato and Served With Tahini Sauce. Vegan Friendly!
The humble but all time favorite Aloo Paratha is a famous Indian breakfast dish that can be eaten at any time of day! The combination of spiced potato stuffed inside of a fried paratha (similar to flatbread) makes for a winning combination that satisfies the hungriest appetite. Parathas originated in Peshawar and then spread all over the former northern parts of India, and you will find many small fast food shops making them all day long 365 day a year.

  • THE KARUNA MOVIE (KODAIKANAL, INDIA) - A BEACON OF LIGHT AND HOPE TO GUIDE US
I made a special movie today dedicated to Karuna. It includes some old photos from the very beginning, and has two of the most amazing time-lapses I have ever seen! Don't miss the last one at 7:33! At Karuna Farm we harmonise with nature taking care of body mind and spirit without compromising on basic amenities and comfort. We have chosen an alternative lifestyle and made it work.

  • How Staying Calm Helps Avoid Chaotic and Unpleasant Consequences especially with Children
Often we encounter situations that require us to act quickly and that often makes us panic and lose our calm. We have our set routines and when things don’t go as planned, we are likely to lose our calm. This problem exacerbates when you have a child because children do not come with a set schedule and routine, and even when you do set and build their routines, there will always be days and times when they will do something unexpected and would disrupt your entire routine. All those times can be extremely frustrating. I am a parent of an amazing, hyperactive boy so yes I know the feeling. However, over the years I have also learned that if you stay calm in such situations, with or without kids, you can avoid chaotic and unpleasant consequences easily.

  • December 4th - Hows the weather down there? Trimming a tree with #decemberphotochallenge
Hello friends, family and followers - Just trying to keep up with everything, its technically still 11:30 pm in Wisconsin where my mom is, so its still December 4th! The weather here in the tropics is hot when the sun is out and wet when it starts raining. The sweet spot is cool, clouds with no rain! This is also the best weather for photography! I'm happy to say that all month we are going to be participating in the #decemberphotochallenge from @deadgrlsuppastar - she was one of the very fun participants of the Daily Selfie Challenge, and I became a follower because I liked her original style!

  • A little story of books that teach (original story)
Nastya went on a subway to drive to her work. It is crowded with people as usual. At the same time if you pay attention you might find something interesting. An elderly woman, a man in a strict coat, a group of students sitting on the sidelines - they are all united by one small detail. In this crowded underground world of fuss, the mix of train, music, and people sounds they read books. "St. Petersburg is still considered to be the cultural capital of Russia”, she thinks to herself. This is her world and she is glad that there are people who share it with her.
