It's not a conspiracy. Look at the stats. It's international lobbying and global finance and business.
- "The Great Hack" - 2016 taken global in 2024 (the stats don't lie so look at political parties internationally after the 2024 elections = "new conservatism " everywhere.

Look at Starlink and the growth. France said no to Starlink, for example, but after elections France went from Socialism into "New Conservatism" and Starlink was allowed to trade in France. (He who controls the algorithms, controls the narrative and traffic too)
The release of ai - ALL done in May 2024 (but was crawling around for decades) and dumped on us in one go.
And then -> after the 2024 elections - the price of gold and the move back towards the dollar - started to strengthen again.
- Ukraine - the war was about stealing the tech from Latvia (maybe) - I can't remember the exact story I read in 2019 but some tiny middle EU country was the leader in world tech.
They had been left fucked after the war and had gone on to write an ID card that linked all citizens socially blah blah and had become oen of hte most advance countreis (or leading country) globally in dev and tech.
Trump released a social ID card that did same in 2023/24? What a coincidence.

I reckon it was a push towards the dollar Pyramid Dream again and a lock down on freedom on the net?

ZA is cut off from global finance so seems alliances were made as well.

The new algorithms also only punt a very new conservative agenda and control traffic. No point having a great website if nobody can find you.
I was "disappeared" on Google in ONE DAY. Impossible to do, and yet it was so.
Multiple accounts all over the net. An 11 year social presence on a variety of platforms. NOT EVEN ONE profile pic.
Pretty interesting and obviously ai driven as a developer would take a few weeks (if at all) to disappear every single profile photo and/or content.
Now we have to learn to work around it and to find workarounds.
Go back to "The Great Hack". Look at the results (globally and what a coincidence almost ALL elections globally happened in 2024, huh?). Look at the swing towards the dollar and the price of gold. Look at following elections for 3rd world countries and the swing towards conservatism there too (Madagascar etc.)
Look at the "disappearance" of artivists in ALL arenas. And social justice warriors. Writers etc - ANYONE who shared "Truth". While "they" pushed forward. (pre-electios)
Bo Burnham disppeared. Posts from big lefties / alternate prespectives are invisible or the links are broken. Lazerbeam got hacked (feminist) etc. etc. depressingly etc.
And follow the money. Always.
Web3 was a threat. Obviously - it was taking off big time and "they" could not control the traffic or financial system anymore.
Not good for business business.
We are in another shift. Interesting times... who is the puppet master? :D
Hopefully devs and finance people around here can start working around it for us.
