if steemit suddenly stops one day, i'm fucked. but i'm willing to take that risk. i also have a big chunk of my savings in steem (as well as some other cryptos) because i believe they'll rise in value in the future. i love steemit because it's a chance for content creators to monetize without the greedy ad platforms in between. it's a very direct way for creators to get paid. much more democratic as well. right now google and facebook hordes all the money with their centralized system. 5~10 years ago they used to be cool but now they're corrupt with censorship.
