Thanks for the reply! We actually didn't consider this in our blocking routine, and while the "proper" and sustainable way to raise your SP would be getting STEEM to power up from the market, it's a least not solely benefitting the buyer and the seller on the cost of everybody else (as long as you use it for upvoting others ;) ).

Our routine has been updated now to not block our upvotes for it any more.
