RE: Gacelas • Leones • Elefantes

There is a belief according to which ...
«Every morning in Africa, a gazelle awakens ... It knows that it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be devoured ...
»Every morning in Africa, a lion awakens ... He knows that he must run faster than the slower gazelle or he will die of starvation ...
»It does not matter if you are a lion or gazelle, when the sun rises ... You will have to run!»

This widespread belief, is it true? Should we always run?

Or in other words, is it obligatory to be a lion or a gazelle?

Well, I do not think so. The jungle is full of animals.

If it is about identifying ourself with an animal, the truth is that there are many others to choose from. And among them, the largest, the elephant, that does not have to run to get food or have to run to avoid being the food of others. He always has food within reach, he does not have to chase-or flee from-other animals.
Probably the true king of the jungle, neither devours nor is devoured.
