¨Mi viaje a Chiapas, México¨ ( My trip to Chiapas, México)

Hola amigos de Steemit, hoy les voy a compartir como estuvo mi viaje a Chiapas, México.

Hello Steemit friends, today I'm going to share how my trip to Chiapas, Mexico was.

Primero, hicimos parada en el zoológico Zoomat, dónde nuestro recorrido fue de dos horas y media. Las especies que pudimos ver son claro ejemplo de la fauna regional y en peligro de extinción, por lo cual podría decirse que es el zoológico más importante del país.

First, we did stop at the Zoo, Zoomat, where our tour was two and a half hours. Species that we saw are clear example of regional wildlife and endangered species, so it arguably is the most important Zoo in the country.

La segunda parada fue en el Parque Nacional: Cañon del sumidero, que se encuentra en Tuxtla Gutierrez. Evidemente se trata de un estrecho cañon, con una altura que va mas allá de los 1ooo metros.

The second stop was in the National Park: Cañon del sumidero, which is in Tuxtla Gutierrez. Evidently it is a narrow canyon, with a height that goes beyond the 1ooo meters.

Después de estar en el cañon del sumidero, nos fuimos a hospedar a una posada, que se encuentra en Chiapas de Corzo. Es un pueblo muy pequeño. Ese noche llegamos a bañarnos y a dormir, por lo cansados que estábamos no salimos a hacer un recorrido. Al día siguiente, salimos a las 8 de la mañana, con dirección a Las Cascadas de Agua azul. No sin antes tomar estas fotos de la plaza central de Corzo.

After being in the canyon of the sumidero, we went to host to an inn, that is in Chiapas de Corzo. It is a very small town. That night we got to bathe and to sleep, because we were tired we did not go out to do a tour. The next day, we left at 8am, heading to Las Cascadas de Agua Azul. Not before taking these photos of the central square of Corzo.

Tuvimos un descanso de dos horas en el pueblo de San Juan Chamula, donde pudimos comer y hacer un breve recorrido.

We had a two hour break in the village of San Juan Chamula, where we could eat and do a short tour.

Después de comer, nos dirigimos hacia la plaza principal. La primera atracción que tuvimos, fue el templo. Por una pequeña cuota, los turistas pueden entrar y tener un recorrido, donde cuentan con traductores de español e ingles, porque su lengua natal es el tzotzil. En el interior no nos encontramos con las bancas tradicionales que tiene toda iglesia, ellos acostumbran a estar hincados y rezar, donde el piso esta cubierto con ramas de pino. Para rezar, los chamulas llevan alguna ofrenda y también llevan veladoras de diferente color, que ellos mismos fabrican. Es increíble el número de santos que pudimos observar, son alrededor de unos 36 santos, donde cada figura cuenta con un espejo, ya que los pobladores acostumbran a confesarse directamente con los santos y de esta manera, el creyente se refleja.

After lunch, we headed towards the main square. The first attraction we had was the temple. For a small fee, tourists can enter and have a tour, where they have Spanish and English translators, because their native language is Tzotzil. In the interior we do not find the traditional benches that every church has, they are accustomed to being kneeling and praying, where the floor is covered with pine branches. To pray, the Chamulas carry some offering and also carry candles of different color, which they manufacture. It is incredible the number of saints that we could observe, they are about 36 saints, where each figure counts on a mirror, since the settlers accustom to confess themselves directly with the saints and in this way, the believer is reflected.

This photograph, I have taken it from the internet. Because inside the temple you can not take photographs, due to the same beliefs of the Chamulas, and above all out of respect for their saints.

Ahora nos dirigimos hacia Agua Azul, donde llegamos alrededor de las 6 de la tarde. Al día siguiente, fuimos a explorar estas hermosas cascadas y sobre todo, a nadar. La verdad es que tuvimos mala suerte, ya que esa semana fue de fuertes lluvias y nos encontramos con el agua de las cascadas con un color cafe.

Now we head to Agua Azul, where we arrived around 6 o'clock in the afternoon. The next day, we went to explore these beautiful waterfalls and especially, to swim. The truth is that we had bad luck, since that week was heavy rains and we found the water of the waterfalls with a brown color.

Normalmente, el color de estas cascadas es blanquiazul.

Typically, the color of these waterfalls is blue-white.

Pasamos un rato agradable.

We had a nice time.

Nuestro siguiente destino era: La selva Lacandona, que es hogar de 70 especies de mamíferos y de mas de 300 aves. Aquí nos toco acampar por dos días.

Our next destination was: The Lacandon jungle, which is home to 70 species of mammals and more than 300 birds. Here we go camping for two days.

Hicimos un recorrido hacia la selva de 4 horas , y afortunadamente o desafortunadamente, no nos encontramos con ningún animal.

We made a trip to the jungle for 4 hours, and fortunately or unfortunately, we did not encounter any animals.

Nuestra ultima parada fue: La zona arqueologíca de Palenque. Es uno de los sitios mas interesantes de la cultura maya y es considerado como patrimonio de la humanidad. Cuenta con una superficie de 16 kilómetros y con más de 200 estructuras arquitectónicas. En la entrada, se asigna un guía y durante el recorrido explica la historia de cada construcción.

Our last stop was: The archaeological zone of Palenque. It is one of the most interesting sites of the Mayan culture and is considered as a World Heritage Site. It has an area of 16 kilometers and more than 200 architectural structures. At the entrance, a guide is assigned and during the tour explains the history of each construction.
