While posting this reply i'am driving from Amsterdam to London. I just booked the Eurotunnel on my phone and I guess without a credit card this kind of last minute bookings are not possible. Now looking for a hotel at booking .com for that I need a card too. So when you travel a lot you need some cards but you have to be carefull in bad times. :)
