The magnitude 8.1 quake, which was felt as far as Mexico City and Guatemala City, was registered off Mexico's southern coast just as heavy rains from Hurricane Katia lashed the east. The epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean, some 600 miles (1,000 kilometers) southeast of the capital and 74 miles (120 kilometers) off the coast.
This one hit late Thursday, when many people were asleep. The states of Chiapas and Oaxaca, home to about 9 million people, are located closest to the earthquake's epicenter. They are two of the most impoverished areas in Mexico, and were likely hit the hardest.
Looks like BpEarthWatch was right on the money again about warning of earthquakes when this 9.3 x flare hits the earth which happened around Thursday night at midnight EST. I reported on this 3 days ago and said:
I also would expect this flare to trigger a large earthquake probably an 8.0 or larger. Source
I was right on the money and the earthquake happened the same time the aurora's were going crazy over the northern hemisphere. You'd think the main stream media and government would pick up on this and warn people of possible earthquakes but It seems to be only the alternative media guys like BpEarthWatch and others on Youtube that really care about informing the public.
It looks like we're out of the danger zone with these active Sun spot moving away from Earth but remember if these Sun spots still exists in 26 days they will be Earth facing again and we will have to keep a close eye on them again.
