We have all looked up at the clouds and seen different artistic shapes in the clouds. Let's now look above the clouds to see a universe full of wonder and artistic shapes.
Cosmic Penguin
The galactic pair known as Arp 142 in the constellation Hydra inspired a look into more images of nebula resembling terrestial creatures.
Cosmic Cat's Eye
The Cat's Eye Nebula (NGC 6543) in the northern constellation of Draco.
Cosmic Hourglass
The Hourglass Nebula (MyCn18) is just a mere 8,000 light-years away.
Cosmic Butterfly
The Butterfly Nebula (NGC 6302) is in the constellation Scorpius.
Thank You!
Thank you!
this is great, is it possible that there is a cookie? I would like one like that, can you imagine? I would be able to turn into a black hole to eat the constellation shaped like a cookie ha ha
The word "nebula" is derived from the Latin word for "clouds". Indeed, a nebula is a cosmic cloud of gas and dust floating in space. More than one nebula are called nebulae. Nebulae are the basic building blocks of the universe.
