Perhaps we should cleanup all the garbage we created here on Earth before we spread our garbage and disease of impurities to other planets. That would be being responsible. I am sure this is not the popular comment and may not get any upvotes from it but It is how I feel. I am all for exploring planets as I am a Si Fi fan, but when you are sick you do not go out and expose others to your germs and illness. And Earth in so many ways is very sick. Lets get healthier FIRST before we duplicate and colonize. Thanks.

Colonising a new planet gives us a chance to start things over, in a new way, learning from all the mistakes that we have done here on Earth. Maybe when that happens, we can replicate that new system from the second planet to the first one.
